IGN\'s Official News Story

Quote
Square Electronic Arts today announced that Final Fantasy X, the first RPG of the Final Fantasy series to arrive on Sony\'s PlayStation 2, will hit North American national retail stores January 2002.
The announcement comes as a happy surprise, since Square officials intonated that FFX was most likely slated one month later, for a February 2002 release.

The news story also has vioce actor names as well. Lots of new info. Its good to finally get a release date.

Cool bananas
A schizophrenic patient will not allow anyone to touch them; not because they would do them some harm, but because they might electrocute them.

Not for nothing, but how come PS2.ign.com decided to update with news on 9/11 while the rest of IGN decided not to due to the events yesterday...

I was wondering the exact same thing. They\'ve always been the worse of the IGN sites and yesterday proves it. In one of the ir not the darkest day in American history they have the ignorance and stupidity to update their site. Are they isolated from the world or what? They were the only site that I know of who updated. Fucking bastards.

You realy shouldn´t use such words on them !!!
It is very urgent in a moment like this to have something to remind you of the "normal" life...
Maybe one person just tried to deal with the situation by working an extra hour !

Please don\'t use such languge. Could you please edit them out. And just because thier was to much information to not report does not make them bad. The GC, Xboz, Pocket, and Dreamcast sittes rarely have as much information as the PS2 site has everyday. Yes, yesterday was a terrible day, but it is not "the day that will live in infamy" and never will be. If your going to say something bad why not say why didn\'t all the other sites update thier sites as well? Just because someone worked that day does not make them "bastards"

Caspian, you are right, this is not the day that will live in infamy.  It is FAR worse.  The number dead is far higher, and those dead are civilians not military.  Pearl Harbour was a military strike in a time of war, what happened yesterday was unprovoked terrorism on innocent people--typists, janitors, etc that work for mimimum wage.

Military personal train for and accept that their job is dangerous.  In no way does it make it less of a tragedy, but given the context and circumstances, this is the worst even in US history (at least modern day history).  The last time the US mainland was attacked was in 1812 by the Canadians.  This is unprecidented anywhere in the world.  Don\'t be so quick to shrug this off just because it hasn\'t affected you directly.
Language services three functions. The first is to
communicate ideas. The second is to conceal ideas. The
third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

Because they probably had their updates complete by early that morning.  San Francisco was not evacuated and closed down till about 12PM PST (about 6 hours after the tragedy happened).  Don\'y blame them for updating.  They have a job to do and in the Bay Area, probably the most expensive place to live in in the US, it\'s hard to miss work at all and still manage to pay your bills.  Cut em some slack, the world can\'t simply stop on a dime when something in one corner of the world happens.  I know I still went to school during Desert Storm, during the embassy bombings, and I was at school the next day after the Loma Prieta Earthquake rocked my neighbordhood and the California Bay Area.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.
