Pre-rendered what?

[Docwiz]

Those objects are also pre-rendered!

Yeah right Dicwiz, everthing besides that forest pic looks realtime to me. I see shadows and advanced lighting everywhere. I let the pictures speak for me.

The backgrounds may not be prerendered, but they are fixed and the camera does not move like in Onimusha.  I wish the camera was at least moving like in DMC.  But anyways, the game looks very nice. :)

Wow! These pics are incredible. Look at the lighting! Look at the environment. It has a different look to it which fits with the basic theme of this game: Fright! Ummm...pre-rendered? Not too sure about that (at least not for these pics). What a pleasant surprise this is from the big "N".

The first thing I noticed was how the old mansion actually looks like an old mansion in the woods which is what it should of looked like in the very first one.
Just damn impressive.

By the way - there is a reason the camera doesn\'t move. First off, that way you don\'t have horrible camera angles all the time or have to worry about the camera. Second, that way it provides a closed in, confinded space, to make you feel "trapped".

I\'m glad Nintendo managed to snag the RE series as exclusives.  They need some mature content on their GC, and hopefully this will open up other companies to bring over mature games on the GC.

BTW, according to Magic-Box, everything is real-time;

The remakes will feature full 3D environment instead of the still CG backdrops.

Source.

Looks damn good. :)

I just saw the movie for this game. Pre-rendered?! Folks...watch the movie again! What I saw in motion was for the most part in-game footage which is similar to the shots posted in this thread. I gotta tell ya....after watching this movie I\'m almost ready to re-live the entire resident evil experience!! I know it sounds crazy but that\'s how impressed I was by that footage. Unbelievable!!  Excellent! Simply execellent!! I can\'t get over the way the environment looks!! I\'m talking about the walls, the shadows, the floors, chairs, table cloth, etc.. It just has a dark realistic look to it. Now that\'s a haunted house. Wow. It\'s a shame this game is old. But as I said before I still might have to get it.

Beautiful. So are they still gonna have RE4 on PS2 or not? Because I\'m still quite unsure....

Maybe in a while, but as of right now, it is a NGC exclusive.  The NGC gets 6 RE games, RE0, RE4 (both new), RE1, RE2, RE3, and RE:CV (all remakes).  Then it is up to Capcom to decide what to do with the series.

MagicBox is wrong.  It is pre-rendered.  I posted a link earlier.

Sorry, I watched the movie again...  Without a doubt pre-rendered.  Its not 100 percent realtime.

I played RE 1,2 and 3 and honestly, its time to move on.   Its the same thing and the graphics are pre-rendered.

I know that some might be Nintendo fans and are wishing for the graphics and gameplay to be revolutionary, but its the same thing we have been playing for the past 5 years.   At least DMC is realtime and has new gameplay.

CGN fans are grasping at straws here, nothing new to see really.  Whats the big deal?  I guess if you like Nintendo you have to get excited about anything because there is nothing to be excited about.

Its like being excited about Tomb Raider and it having the same playablity that the original has had and a ton of pre-rendered animation loops playing and static backgrounds.  Any person who is talented can make animation loops and static backgrounds.  Pre-rendered artwork cheapen games.

If you are that desperate for any good news for Nintendo than fine, but I honestly can\'t say that I care for anything on gamecube other than RS2.   All games on the gamecube do not interest me, they are the same gameplay, same software thats always on there and only RS2 is a awesome title to buy.

Want to see how to make a game?  Rouge Squadron 2 is the real reason to buy a gamecube, not the pre-rendered fake, static, non interactive, old gameplay, static gameplay games.

Lets move on and not go backwards, Lets progress.....

I am not against Nintendo, nor am I playing sour grapes, I just don\'t know what all the fuss is about.  I have RE123  and played them and I think its time to move on.... Notice how they moved on with DMC?  I rest my case....

I think the main reason Capcom chose the NGC is because the Nintendo audience, for the most part, is new to the RE series.  The Nintendo audience is 5 years older now, and most of them haven\'t played a RE game.  They could release all of the remakes on the PS2, but they would probably sell a lot less because we have already played the games to death.  Capcom isn\'t going to pass up the opportunity to give the RE series to a whole new audience, thus, making a lot more money, when all they have to do is soup up the graphics.
