What happens when we destroy Afghanistan, their people, their way of life, etc.

Essentially, we are destroying Islam, as a whole. If they declare \'holy war\' on us and we tear them to pieces, it will say alot about their way of life and their religion.

We won\'t even come close to destroying Islam as a religion, or a way of life.

Did you know that they current gov. is not even recognized by the rest of the Islamic world?

They made an appeal to the utmost supreme council of Islam, and were resoundingly IGNORED.

Don\'t fool yourself into believing in false pretenses for hesitation on retribution.

You will never be able to wipe out Islam, nor is it a goal of retaliation.

If you couldn\'t wipe out the Jewish faith after killing 6million people, how the hell are we gonna be able to wipe out Islam now?

I didn\'t mean destroy, as in kill off, al la Hitler.

I meant as in, it kind of destroys the validity of believing in Islam if it does nothing to save your butt.

psychos! I didn\'t know that about the Islam council thing,t hat is interesting. It will still show the people of Afghanistan that their belief system (crazy) is flawed.

Nah, don\'t worry, it will NEVER kill the validity of Islam.

I think the vast majority of people here will aggree that it is not a war against Islam, its a war against terrorism, and sanctioning it.

The Christian Crusades from the 14th century era were wrong. They killed those who wouldn\'t convert, or follow the laws of Christianity.

Today, the radical Islamic movement with their Fatwah\'s and Jihad\'s are practicing modern day Crusades against the rest of the world and religions.

They are just as wrong, and need to be stopped. Period.

What is really sad is to realize all of this is our-religion-is-better-than-your-religion based.  Isnt the basic principals of almost all religions to love and respect, to live a virtuous life?
