That\'s the problem.

I\'m a HUGE tech freak, and I need state of the art hardware, or I\'ll feel so inatequite (spelling?).

Everywhere I look I see these spoiled brats with pieces of hardware they can\'t understand or handle. I need to have something equal or better because I\'m a geek they are not. It\'s a matter of pride, a geek versus the cool people.

Ohh what a dilemma.

True there is always the balance between budget and top of the range.

this is indeed a intresting problem , as i too am thinking of getting a lappy in the not to distant future.

But this and other problems will have to wait till tomorrow.

OK nO-One, I checked and Novell 4.11 supports Macintosh clients.  4.11 was out, I believe, before OS X.  I don\'t know what version of Novell your school is using but it should supports TCP, IPX, and Appletalk.  The only question should be if your school\'s got any servers you can log onto.

I\'ll look into it, but my gut feeling is that they are using outdated software, those admins over there have the "if ain\'t broke, don\'t fix it" view on stuff, so they probly haven\'t upgraded in years because the network works.

I mean, those comps over there are OUTDATED, the fastest ones they have are 333Mhz Celery\'s. And why??? Because they\'re cheap ass sons of b1tches.
