I mean look at the support xbox is getting from the start before it even launches. They have the power, money, the brains(bill gates), and most of all the games to succeed. Will the US finally make up for the usual failing systems that they make? Atari anyone? What rastalant is trying to say I think the xbox is here to stay. I mean they got all the tools to beat nintendo and sony. More powerful system, tons of developers, easy to program for, and the M$ logo on it. This is finally an american company that has the power to go up against the big japanese companies like sega, nec, nintendo, and sony. So this war as some people call it ought to be interesting. Will an american console finally dominate or be a joke like the others?

Sega and NEC are dead as console makers, hopefully X-Box does better than that!!

PD4 is suppose to be at this years TGS.  Just one month to go til we see PD4.  Xbox will be successful....................at least in the U.S.

I simply cannot wait. My opinion still stands that I WILL be amazed when I see PD4, definetly.

That would be sooo cool if they said something like: "We wanted to give the fans a treat, so we are porting PD1,2, and Saga to X-Box with full graphical upgrades, plus the new one will be coming out, very soon!!!"

that would make my day.

Actually, I\'m almost sort of agree\'ing with MM on this one. I think the Xbox stands a huge chance as being the next 3DO. The game\'s look great and there is quite abit of developer support, but that doesn\'t mean a thing really. If the games don\'t play that well or play better than other games on other consoles, then it won\'t be such a big deal and developer support means nothing when you consider that the 3DO had massive developer support also.

At the same time though, with Capcom and Sega announcing such big projects and what not for the system, it has a decent chance of making its own mark. It really needs something for Japan though, to be a complete success, sort of like when Sony got the FF series in the 32-bit era.

Will Xbox dominate...probably not.  Will it fade away, doubt it.  It has a huge amount of hype behind it, if MS delivers then it\'s all good from here on out.

Soul Calibur 2, Ridge Racer 6, Panzer Dragoon 4, House of the Dead 3, Madden, Onimusha Genma, Silent Hill 2, Jet Grind Radio Future, Munch, Halo, Dead or Alive 3, Dead to Rights, Malice, Fate, Project Ego, Project Gotham, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, 2K series, Doom 3, Sega GT 2, Black and White 2...

These are all coming out within the next year, it\'s bound to catch and keep some people\'s attention.

i think its too risky to call the xbox on dominating the console wars...but calling it the next 3DO is a terrible assumption...
this is microsoft were talking about...they have the money to make this system rock...bill gates will do whatever he can to be superior...in the end,  what matters is the games,  and sony has established itself big...nintendo has its fans as well and unless they pull a sega dreamcast fate,  i think theyll stick around this war too...as for the big X,  i think its safe to say that with billy gates at the controls,  although we cant say it will rule,  we can definitely put our money on the xbox being around for a while.

I think i would give MS a 50/50 on the XBOX..
in any event, it will add nicely to the museum of "crap" if it bombs.

I dont think the xbox is going to win the console wars but I think it won\'t do half bad.  I just feel with it being Microsofts first console it can\'t win.
