i dont see what the big deal is about ICO

its okay but not as good as people are makeing it out to be.

If you see nothing in Ico, then you don\'t deserve to be called a gamer at all. Sony has created a franchise that (IMO) is equal to any of Sega\'s or Nintendo\'s- the game oozes beauty, atmosphere, peace, and that incredible "it\'s only me and this huge, beautiful, desolate place" feeling.

Sony has finally created a game that is pure art.

I kind of agree. The game is ok, the graphics are nice, but it get repetitive.  I don\'t think this is on the level of a Mario--not yet.

There was a thread about this a while ago.  It seems to be a game you either fall in love with or wonder what all the fuss is about.  I fall into the latter I guess.  There isn\'t enough action for me.

I agree that this game is amazing but you have to remember everyone has varying opinions on different kinds of games

After playing the demo and seeing a review, i decided to buy not just rent ICO, i figure i would want to support quality games, even if they are a bit short

Repetitive?  I haven\'t see any same puzzle yet.  Every level is different.   This game is breath taking in every way!   The levels are SWEET!  If you played the Demo of ICO and like it, you\'ll love the full game.   I give it a 11!    fastson, don\'t be sad.  Buy this game as soon it\'s out in UK.  It\'s that good!  I think the game is more puzzle than fighing.  But as you go in other levels the ghost gets smarter and fly with her.  It\'s a game you never played before.

You\'re right pstwo, I\'ve been playing the game for awhile now and it\'s certainly a breath taking game. Not only is it beautiful it\'s a very good game with some amazing puzzle solving. ICO has defenitly made it on top of my favorite game list. It\'s that good.

Throw me into the bunch that is not impressed with ICO in the least..

It\'s a fine game, don\'t get me wrong, but it is short and yes it is repetitive.  Sure the locations look different but the gameplay is pretty shallow: enter room, kill bad guys, solve puzzle, repeat.

And the story isn\'t anything remarkable either.  I hope BG is better.

But it is a fine game and I wouldn\'t tell anyone not to play it.  But after you beat it (well under 10 hours), that\'s pretty much it.   I guess I expected more or everything from the press it was recieving.

Yes and I don\'t see the big deal with 2D fighters, strategy games, or Pokemon.  Yet,  there are millions of people out there that love them to death. I think maybe the fact that everyone has different tastes in games might have something to do with them making a big deal out of games that you don\'t enjoy.  If you aren\'t an adventure gaming fan then of couse this game will not be for you.  I don\'t understand when people get caught up in the hype for a game that is of a genre they don\'t even like then they complain that it didn\'t live up to their expectations.
