How do I know if the new PS2 I buy has the new DVD Drivers built in?

I want to buy a new PS2 here in the UK. I want to get one with the new drivers built in so it doesn\'t take up all that space on my memory card. I\'m selling my current PS2 to my brother, its got version 1.20U DVD Drivers.

Maybe you could ask in the store??

Someone said that PS2 GT3 Bundle had the new drivers installed..
I dont know if its true though.

That\'s what I have also... Does USA has new drivers too? I doubt I will get one.. But I would just like to know.

I take it the £199 PS2\'s do not include GT3 in the package?

£199 are the regular bluePS2 boxes I reckon..

PS2+GT3 bundle are the boxes that has some GT3 artwork on the front..

Good cos I already own GT3. I think I\'ll ask to try the PS2 with the DVD remote in the shop, see if they\'ll let me

Atleast in sweden and we usually get stuff after you guys..

Well for some weird reason it isnt out in UK yet, even Sweden have had it before us! Come on Sony get your act togethor.

p.s I went to http://www.eb.uk.com earlier, it had a news thing saying, "Sony releases PS2 DVD Remote" I was like yes! its out. I read the report and it said they\'d released it in US and that the UK release is expected sometime this year! Bloody great that!
