My bro and i spent 4 hours upgrading our characters in this game through the \'Free\' mode and it was difficult to put the controller down..
The split screen is nicely done. The smoothness and clarity of the characters are retained even in split screen. There are some minor slow downs but they are not so apparent.
In stage 1 we choose the rebel side because we can get more power ups and character upgrading is faster. We started on our different paths where i slaughter Liu Bei\'s and Cao Cao officers in the south while my bro kills Sun Jian forces in the west.My bro plays as Zhou Yu and i play as the guy who wear white head dress with a halberd(new character,im not sure who this is in history). There are 41 characters altogether.
We then converge into the huge fortress and frightened the imperial soldiers. You can combined your Musou attacks together and the split screen will form into 1 screen and your musou attacks last longer.
The stage 1 overall imperial commander is pretty tough,we take turns hitting his back and running back and fourth the staircases in the fortress. You can equip your guards with different weapons for example bow, sword, spear and etc.
We have collected 2 weapons now and the latest weapon is a \'General\' killer.
Oh yah and riding the horses and trampling enemy troops together is Overkill!!
Overall this a solid piece of gaming which has never been done before ......
