Why Are These Boards So Dead?

Last year this time, these forums were bustling like crazy.  Now it seems like a ghost town.  Where\'s you guys excitement?  There are plenty of PS2 killer apps coming out (you know, the ones you were willing to wait a year for) like MGS2 and...you know, some others.  One question:  Do you feel that spending $300+ on 10/26 last year was worth it?  I may have been a bit hasty by returning mine a month later, but I\'m comfortable with it.  I\'m going to enjoy the excitement of another launch in November and I hope it feels as good as the PS2 launch was last year.  What were you guys doing this time last year?

When all is said and done...the PS2 will be remembered as the console with the best games in Fall 2001.

Most people are playing games I guess..

Me not.. Im holding out for ICO.. and I can only afford about 1 max 2 games per month.. So Im saving up for November.. :D

Tons of people had to leave for various reasons.  School was the biggest factor.  Hopefully as it gets closer to the Xbox and NGC launch, the forums will come back to life.

Unlike most Xbox and GC fansd most PS2 owners are spending thier freetime playing games

and then there is the school thing and numerous other reasons

A year ago nobody but japan had PS2\'s and everyone spent alot of their time being excited about the launch of the machine and talking about the possibilities to come

I\'ve notice that it slowed down a bit but you still see the hard-core gamers still posting.  It\'s fun in here!  I\'ve haven\'t seen anybody from Hawaii post in here yet since I\'ve been in here. This month I make 1 year!!   :D

Maybe alot of people are playing Silent Hill 2, and ICO.  Remember when GT3 came out, the forums were dead then too.  Just wait until Metal Gear and Final Fantasy come out.

MGS2 is gonna be sweet though... Im not gonna be here when its released :D
