Why US not using the F-117 bomers!  It was also a use in desert Storm.   It was the first attack in bagdad using laser-guided bombs at pin-point accuracy.

I dont think it can fly as far as the other big bombers..
And I dont think it can lift from Aircraft Carriers..

I think we need to launch them from ground air bases.

Can you believe the bombers flew from Missouri.  That is just amazing.  That\'s a long freaking way.

I feel sorry for those familes who tried to leave Afghanistan but the Taleban wouldn\'t let them - I saw on TV that many had to bribe the border guards, while those who didn\'t have the cash couldn\'t leave the country. Hopefully they stayed camped out near the border and not near Kabul and wherever else the US is bombing. Won\'t be much hope for them with their infrastructure to be completely ruined and even if they leave the country they\'ll probably spend time in prision camps, but at least they\'ll be alive. ****ing stupid Taleban.

Anyone read about the USSR\'s \'adventures\' in trying to occupy Afghanistan over the course of 10 years? The US should stick to carpet bombing...

fastson, there is a plane called the KC-135 Tanker that re-fuel the aircrafts in mid air.    Like this picture.   Thiere is check points in certain zones that the KC-135 Tanker fly all the time to re-fuel any military US jets. The Bomers that went to the site was B1, B2, B-52 and there are too big to take off an Aircraft Carrers.  

The KC-135 is re-fueling the F-117 Night Hawk.

But I dont think the F-117 is build for flying that long..
Alot of things can go wrong..

And it cant deliver the payload of the B1, B2 and B-52..

Actually I think it would be totally different if we tried to occupy Afghanistan, than it was when the Russians did it.  For much of the Soviet invasion, the United States was supplying weapons to the Mujahadean through Pakistan.  When the Taliban came to power, they also purchased weapons and ammunition on the black market through Pakistan.  I think we have effectively closed off that supply line, and I don\'t believe the Russians will be selling them ammo anytime soon.  It\'s hard for even guerrillas to fight a war without weapons.  All we have to do is figure out where their caches are, and hit them by air.  These idiots are much more poorly equipped than Iraq was.
