Red Faction - controls request
« on: October 17, 2001, 05:43:42 AM »
Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the R1 & R2 buttons are used for in Red Faction? And are they re-configurable if it\'s for anything really important?

Thanks, an accident has left me unable to quickly use these buttons - Extermination was unplayable :( and I don\'t want to waste more cash on other games I can\'t use properly..

Cheers :)

Fire: R1
Alternate Fire: R2
Use: X
Jump: L1
Crouch: L2
Holster: D-Pad Left
Reload: TRIANGLE
Next Weapon: CIRCLE
Previous Weapon: SQUARE
Fine Aim Mode: D-Pad Up
Center View: D-Pad Down
Message Log: D-Pad Right
Walk/Sidestep: Left Analog Stick
Pitch/Turn: Right Analog Stick

This is the default control method A, though you can choose from many different set ups.  Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for youe help, it doesn\'t look good unfortunately.. Damn! it looks as if all developers are using those buttons for firing.. that\'s me out then.

Beginning to feel like I\'ve wasted 300 quid :(

That´s sad to hear ! :(
Is there no way around those two buttons... maybe if you know someone who can do some electric stuff and build you something ?!

No fingers on the right, makes it a bit difficult to reach em. The thumb does all the work (as the actress said to the bishop).

Niether, Wolves if anything but to be honest I haven\'t followed league footy in ages.. I\'m just satisfied if I get to see a game at all! Allways watch the England games though, through thick and thin.

Suppose I\'m what you\'d call a part-timer

Who do you support then? ;)
