That\'s one of the two reasons why I\'ve had a hard time deciding on how to score this title. The other is that the areas you explore early on are more interesting than the rest of the game. Don\'t get me wrong, the remainder of the game is still amazing - it just doesn\'t quite live up to those first rooms (demo) that have been polished to perfection. But if there are any dissapointment to be found in MGS2, it\'s only because the game raises the bar so high that parts which are only "very good" seem sub par.I ultimately decided to go with a score of 10 because, while the game isn\'t perfect, it generally plays at a level higher than our scoring system will allow.

How retarded. If a game plays at a level higher than your scoring system will allow..

What did you expect them to give it?  This has been their (and many other\'s) most wanted game for the past year and a half.  Even with the flaws, of course they will still give it a 10.  I\'m interested to see what a less "fanboyish" magazine gives this game though. :)

But it\'s not right. If your scoring system is not good enough to allow for games that are brilliant, there\'s something wrong with your scoring system. This is why I have respect for Gamespot and such; they\'re generally pretty harsh in their reviews, and that\'s a good thing. It prevents bull**** like this from appearing on their site.

No game is perfect. MGS2 will be a great game indeed, but I can promise you it will not appeal to everyone--and those it does appeal to, may find some minor graphical annoyances or something in the game that gets them. It may be an awesome game, perhaps even considered to be the greatest of all time by some (eventually anyhow), but no game at all is perfect.

It will be the best game of this generation for a while, however. Or at least, I predict :P

Then why have a perfect score? :D

Some of the reviews reek, but over all I like it better than all the other magazines.
