YABASIC keyboard problems

Has anyone else had any problems using a USB keyboard is YABASIC. I find that when ever I press a key the letter gets produced over and over again on the screen, whenever I try to type something it comes out llllliiiiikkkkkeeeeee     tttttthhhhhiiiiiissssss.
