I just picked up Thunder Strike: Operation Phoenix

The game is awesome.  The environments are so realistic, and the action is fast and furious.  You have to destroy bridges, rescue hostages, attack oil rigs through 25 missions.  You must destroy terrorist air and ground forces in the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe.  You can customize your chopper with hell fire missiles, heat bombs, sniper scopes, chain guns and more.  It has an excellent Camera Zoom feature to locate the enemy.  I\'m trying to stop playing this game so I can play Devil May Cry.  It was weird 4 people came into Microplay and bought both games when I was there.  It was a tough choice because they NHL 2002 which I want also, but I\'ll get that later.

WOW! Sweet gameplay!!  DMC and Thunder Strike came in the same time but I just put on hold the Thunder Strike game over DMC.  When I went to the store and seen a PS2 DMC Demo in action, I change my mind and got DMC.  I\'m still picking up this game same time when AC4 comes out.  :D

I had heard mixed reports on Operation Thunderhawk.... none slating it too badly but they did say that it has too many missions that are set with poor visibility and also that it can seem unfair at times (amount of enemies attacking at one time)

What do you reckon as I have been tempted but like I say due to a couple of mixed reports have held fire on getting it.

Cheers

was looking forward to Thuderhawk for a long time, sounds are very good, controls are good, graphics are not bad.  The maps aren\'t really that big which is disappointing condsidering the blurb said 16k x 16k, you often only have a small portion to operate in so there is no real feeling of freedom.
Some of the missions are VERY tough, a bit frustrating at times, most have multiple objectives and vary quite a bit.
Its fast and furious, the maps are swarming with all manner of enemies, cool weather effects (that can make hitting the enemy a nightmare :) )
Hate the way the missions end, and having to go back to main menu when you die is very annoying!
I\'ve seen scores ranging from 3/10 (harsh) to 8/10, personally i\'d give it 7/10, mainly beacuse i like chopper sims :)

You gotta remember Thunderstrike is a sim more than an arcade chopper game.  It\'s not like you can take alot of damage.  You have to hide behind trees to avoid enemy fire.  If you like sims than you will love this game, but if your looking for an arcade chopper game than look elsewhere.  I\'m having a blast with this game!

I liked EA Strike series, but I found it way too easy!  I finished all the games so quickly.  There good arcade shooters, but I\'m happy Thunder Strike offers a tough challenge.  It\'s a hardcore sim!  There\'s people that like arcade racers like RUSH2049, but if they play Gran Turismo 3 they will be turned off at the realistic gameplay.
