PS2: Star Wars Jedi Starfighter

Thanks to IGN.com for the info. Sounds good!!
The Clones are officially attacking PlayStation 2. LucasArts is presently preparing the very first in what should be a wave of Episode II console titles, and PS2 is first on the list, with Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, the sequel to the first Starfighter game from early in 2001. Jedi Starfighter, as the title suggests, features Jedi in starfighters -- specifically, the Jedi Starfighters (okay, the bad humor is getting out of control here) that allow them to use their Force powers as well as conventional weapons in space combat. Through 15 missions, you can fly those and a few other fighters of the Old Republic, following a story that builds on the events and characters already introduced in Star Wars: Starfighter.
Fighting alongside Gallia is another familiar face, the space pirate Nym, who was introduced in the original Starfighter. Nym still flies his Havoc bomber, but it has new secondary weapons now, including cruise missiles, cluster missiles, and proximity mines. Nym and Adi are the only characters available in the single-player story mode, where they do battle with Cavik Toth\'s Sabaoth Squadron and other forces of the Trade Federation -- the story is original, but it crosses paths with that of the movie, and as in Starfighter they culminate in the same final battle.
There\'s also a cooperative two-player mission mode, though, where two more craft are available. Toydarian pilot Reti (the same species as Watto from Episode 1) flies the Zoomer, a small craft with laser cannon and a secondary chaingun. The other co-op character, Jinkins, is one of Nym\'s pirate associates -- his Freefall fighter has lasers and a set of deployable drone fighters. In comparison to the four friendly fighters, the bad guys field more than 40 different ship types in land- and space-based battles, ranging from light fighters up through huge capital ships.
Jedi Starfighter promises a thorough 3D engine upgrade, which should take care of some of the problems players had with the original Starfighter -- it was beautiful and very playable, but still had the odd spot of framerate difficulty, among other graphical issues. The sequel looks to offer more ambitious gameplay in addition to good looks, though, so hopefully we\'ll receive yet another game from LucasArts to excite game fans as well as those in the hideous grip of Star Wars fandom. Expect many more updates on Jedi Starfighter as its spring 2002 release approaches.

I\'m getting pretty tired of Star Wars games. There\'s about a thousand of \'em. It\'s making me sick. Oh well...thanks anyway...
When are they gonna come out with something innovative?

Still a good space fighter can be fun and the 1st one was. Although it was a B game
I hope they can polish up the graphics and create some more cool missions
but ir would be nice to see another Space fighter outside of Star Wars

Cooperative was something truly missing from the original title!
*puts the game into his all-too-long waiting-list*
sounds quite great...

Another N64 Rouge title for PS2,
They should improve the game more, and make it longer, the last PS2 title was short, i finished the game in 3 days.
