Got AC4 and WOW!!

This game is like what IGN said its the best yet!  I\'m now on level 8 out of 18 and its getting harder to pass each level.  Now you are able to buy bombs and pick what you want to put on your plane before a level.  You start off with the F-4 fantom and to me its better then the F-5 tiger. I bought A-10, F-14A and the F-16 so far. Each handles different and looks photo real too. The c o c k pit view is like how the display should be in real life in each plane. They are all different.

 Namco must have study on how the HUD looks in each of the planes.  I have books and videos on military land, sea and air so it looks real as hell.  In the c o c k pit view, you are able to look with the analog in any direction and see the out side of the plane like the wings.  It\'s like your really inside the plane.

  Oh, another thing was now you can go back to your base and get more bombs (yep there is bombs that you drop with a bomb-run target system and each bomb is different too, they are real military ones) or missile and go back to the mission.  You have to land on aircraft carrier or land.  It\'s real cool!!  You have lots of wingmans too that help you. You can also hear radio in from all  including the enemies to each other.  This was the key to make this game like the real thing. Its like top gun the movie when they dog fight.  

  One more thing, there is a level wth a canyon and its on the side of the terrain and the canyon look like it was too real with the sun hiting it. The canyon look photo real. So I left my wing mans and headed down to see if the canyon was 3D, and it was! WOW!  The frame rate feels like 60 fps with no slow down.    

 I can go on and on but all I can say more is......... if you are a fan of Ace Combat you can forget about all the Ace Combat you played because this is the Ace Combat dream come true......

It\'s prety far back but the clouds looks allmost like Silent Hill fog.   Real COOL!! Oh you can see a real missle when you fire it. A REAL ONE!! The stripes and the colors on the missle and bombs looks like how it looks in real life too. (Details) The smoke trail of the Missle looks real too.  

I forgot to tell you about the sounds!  Ok the sound of your jet sound real and so is the missle you fire as well. You can hear the enmey missles pass you too. shhhhuuuurrrr hehe   The explosions looks real to. It has the fire ball glow.  The replay is cool too. You can pick out the camera view you want.  You can see the pilots inside the plane too. Wow the Details in this game! I have to go back and splash more bogies!! hehe



There is also in the game a Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) plane that radio to you back and forth on enmey planes targets etc. Very important info.  In a real life scenario, this plane is in battle with the jet fighters. Now this gave the game a real war scenario feel.

Here\'s how the missle & bombs looks in real life. In the game, it\'s the same shape and color. WOW!!

This one is on the F-14A.(AIM-54 Phoenix) This is the top of the line of air to air missle and the F-14 was design to carry it.  Long range air to air missle.


This one (MK 80 series) is on some planes like the A-10, F-16, F-18A.  Looks just like in game.

I can\'t wait to get this game.  I  ordered it off Amazon a couple days ago so Im gonna have to wait probably untill monday to get it!..  No big deal really.  Gonna be playing Devil May cry till then!

When did it come out in the states, well like it matters, I have no money:crying:

For those *with* money (wink @ Bozco) and are playing AC4...have you taken the time while you are in the hanger with your jet & payload selections to view them up close & all around???  The graphics are just toooo flippin\' realistic!  The wet concrete reflecting in pools of water to reflect window above and such?!!  Ahhh.

Now, a general grumble (but mind you, I\'m not reeeeally complaining about the game...just my poor dogfighting skills)...I will work a ground mission to death (literally) by ziggin\' & zaggin\' & hittin\' th\' brakes & $hit...and then lo and behold I make a wrong move and BAM!!! into the ground I go!  Game Over, man!  What really makes me grumble, and has always been true of the Ace Combat series is that if you *don\'t* succeed at the mission...then the replay that you receive is the last few seconds of your sorry a$$ before you die.  Bleh!  I wore my nubs off tryin\' to smack all kinds of enemy ground targets and keep my wingman defended...shoulda been some cool replays (even if I didn\'t finish)...but "to see it all in all its glory" one must beat the mission.  Fair...but "bleh" anyways!

Definitely a greeeeeeeeeeeat game.  I just gotta practice more.  But oh, the humanity...I mean who can practice with AC4, DMC, and GTA3 in their recent library -- each screaming to be played.  Spoiled little pissers don\'t want to share my time, they each say PLAY ONLY MEEEE!!!  Urgggh!  And the worst of it is the 9-10+ hours at work when my mind constantly drifts back to these games & all I swear I wanna do is go home & play some more!:hat:

Anyway...guess I got a little winded & a titch off-track but AC4 is super-sweet.  Definitely the best of the AC titles (and I\'ve enjoyed each immensely.  If you don\'t have this game, don\'t NOT have this game.  Get it soon and play it often!

Then again, feelin\' like its time to return to GTA3 an\' b1tch-slap some pimps around a bit!:thepimp:

I\'ll be getting this game soon.  But I still want Spy Hunter and have to complete DMC, SH2 and Thunderstrike.  How is that Flight Stick?

I can see this game getting passed up by gamers because of other titles like GTA3 and DMC but trust me....you don\'t want to do that!! This game is da bomb (no pun intended). Buy it now! You won\'t be disappointed  :cool:

It\'s great to hear that this game is so good. Just serves to reaffirm my purchase. I wasn\'t to sure about it but I couldn\'t find any other games I wanted on Amazon.com (ie Baldur\'s Gate, FFX) so I just went with AC4 to take advantage of their Buy 2 get 1 free offer.

Good to know I won\'t be dissapointed.

UP-DATE on c o c k-pit view,  I\'m on mission 9  and damn this level has so much ground and air enmey (looks like over 100) its a mission you won\'t come out alive! Damn this level is so cool!!  I\'m using the bad boy A-10 to do it but still its hard. I\'m going to try some cluster bombs. hehe   It\'s a  mission with rain and its getting dark.  I\'ve notice now since its getting dark the c o c k-pit is lighing up. Now this is real cool.
