PS2 Need for Speed : First Look !

The new game will feature 20 licensed cars in all at this point in time. Well that is about all the information you will want at this point, so it\'s onto the screen shots. Enjoy!

I think it looks like crap !:o
C\'mon, take away the reflection map on the cars and there\'s nothing left. Also the camera is too \'low angle\' for me in such a
race game. It reminds me of the way Midway handles the camera
in it\'s crappy race games like speedhunter and those awfull cruising USA games on the N64.
The trees look out of proportionally huge ! What a joke .
EA must think they HAVE to milk out this NFS cow :nut: LOL

someone hasn\'t realized yet that those pics are from a VERY un finished game....

you honestly think thats what it\'s going to look like... give me a break, give it time, once the game is near completion we will see if it flops or if it burns rubber :D

Blah ! Of course I know AND realize this is an early build. But you
should also know most of the graphic engine is determined really
early on. Remember what Hideo Kojima said about the graphics in the 1st MGS2 demo : it\'s almost what it\'s gonna look like the final code.
Anyway, I don\'t like the low \'Midway-ish\' camera from the looks of the top pic.
Imo franchises like RE, FF, NFS and some other really had their time. Now it\'s over. But hey if they wanna milk the cow some more, boohoo I say and good luck.

thats not all that true, thats like saying the first GT3 they scraped looks just like GT3 a-spec becuase of the graphics engine..

obviously they look 100 times different. but yea i dont liek the angles either, but maybe there just replay.

I certainly hope the finished product looks A LOT better than that... I agree with Knotter8, I think it looks terrible.

It has that same graphical style as VF4.  I don\'t know how to explain it but it doesn\'t look to good. :cool:

It looks like it was raining hot wax a little before the race or something, way to glossy, but thats not a supprise it being a Need for speed game. Also the driver of the red car looks stupid. Other than that it looks fine, and it should get better.

I llok forward to it for the police chase\'s alone..thats why I liked when NFS included that . Welp..like someone else said..it is unfinished, and only time will tell..I\'ll probably get it when it hits tho.

That\'s not true. If you\'ve read the first interview with Hideo Kojima after the first trailer of the game was released he said that the graphics were gonna get better... So there :P
