Well... Sony has delayed the Ethernet + HDD package for an early 2002 release..
So hopefully early 2002

Sony has said that you can use ANY ISP..
Sony is releasing (as I said before) two packages..
#1: Stand alone Ethernet Adapter, support for v.90(56.6) and Broadband connections. (Cost: $40)
#2: A 40GigaByte Hard drive (7200rpm) + Ethernet Adapter (Cost: Not yet known, I\'d estimate $100-150)
One thing you need to know!
The HDD is not needed to access the Internet. HDD will be used to games (Save data, Stream Textures(faster loading times), download new data to the game. ect ect) or if you want to the Internet (Save pics, Mp3, Save the browser so you don’t need to load it from a disc every time, download demos, movies, vids ect.)
I\'ve read that Sony will release a VGA (or XGA?) cable so you can connect your PS2 to a monitor and surf at a "normal" resolutions.. (1024x768)
Or you could just use a regular TV.. (Netscape is designing a new Browser that is specifically designed for 640x480(NTSC), 640x512(PAL))
Thats all I know... I hope it helped. :nerd:
