Ok first off i got the mag from my work place, how many more times do i have to tell you guys how i get the mag early, you really don\'t listen to me do you!
And for that you don\'t get an of my thoughts on the demos!:D
Ok i was only kidding.
To tell you the truth i wasn\'t that impressed at all, which was a shame because was really looking forward to this demo disk.
But please remeber that these are my feels, and don\'t let me put you off of getting the demo\'s, as you might really like them, OK
1.wwf smackdown \'just bring it \'
Ok my brother played this one, he had SD2 and he really liked it, but he said this was just more of the same, and was slow!
So i didn\'t go near it as i really don\'t like WWF games, so sorry i carn\'t give my thoughts over.
2.Wipeout Fusion
I probably enjoyed this one the most, but agian it is just more of the same, the jaggies really got to me, sometimes it is hard to see which way the next turn is because of the jaggies, but it does run smooth, and the handling is much better i think.
Also the load time must have been about 20-25 seconds, which is crap IMO
3.Silent Hill 2
Ok i didn\'t play silent hill 1, as it didn\'t intrest me, iwas more of a Resident evil man, but i thought i would give this ago, the graphics are pretty good, when the cut scene finshed, i stood there for a while, and didn\'t realise that the game has started, but once i got out side, i didn\'t think it looked that great.
Also i ran up to a van, and pressed all the buttons and nothing happen, so i ran off down some stairs, then some righting come sup and say\'s " there is a map in the van it could be useful"!
WTF this really turned me off of the game, it may seem stupid to you guys, but that is just the way i am.
4.Airblade
Now i had high hopes for this game, as on the dvd videos i thought it looked really good.
Right the graphics were good, detailed and i thought the lighting was good, but i think i would rather play some Tony hawks, this game didn\'t draw me in as much as what THPS2 did.
The controlers were good, i thought the board handling was good and it is easy to pull off trick, you simply push square to pull off a trick, and to grind you use triangle, to spin you use L1 and L2, but there just didn\'t seem to much there to keep me playing, not liked i hoped.
5.World Rally Championship 2001
Now when i first played this demo all i could think was this game is ****, but i thought i would give it another go, and am pretty happy i did, the graphics are ok, there probably look better from the view from the helicopter, the handling isn\'t bad, but sometimes it just felt like all you had to do was press the accelorator and steer around the corners, no use of the brake, i would say you only need your brake around a couple of corners(the track i played was argentina, and remember i have only played two tracks, so it might be better later in the game)
The damage was ok, nothing special, like the first try i had i hit the wall go about 10-15 mph( can\'t remeber if it is mph,or it is the same as GT3) and i had smoke comming from my engine, and then the car kept pulling to the right,which i didn\'t like to much, but the damage was better later on, like when i fell down the cliff.
One thing is i don\'t know how early this build is, but it seemed abit choppy.
One of the best bits was probably the music on the replys, the first song is Garbage, which was good.
6.Dark cloud
I have this game on import, i am not a lover of it, but i will let you guys make your minds up on this one, as i know of pther people that really like it.
7. Baldur\'s gatedark Alliance
This game was ok the graphics are pretty good, but it is not my type of game, so sorry i can\'t really give you any impressions, ias i hardly played it.
8.Tarzan Freeride
To tell you the truth i didn\'t play this game, as the name put me off all together.
Ok so as you can see it is a mixed bag really, but please take what i say with a grain of salt, as you will probably like the demo.
But for me i am not really that impressed with my PS2 anymore, it hasn\'t lived up to the hype for me, i am just happy that games like SSX, Onimusha, MGS2 and Devil may cry came out, as i would probably feel like crying that i brought a PS2 at all, and am really thinking about selling my english one, i think i listened to sony\'s hype machine to much.
Also the only game that i played that was timeed was Airblade, which plays like the game i guess.
