Shame our PS2 don\'t let us do that! I mean you could even do that on the Atari 2600, but not on the ps2!!!!
And go here to read about the feature http://xbox.ign.com/news/39613.html
This sounds very very cool, ca\'t wait to try it out!

Perhaps you dont understand what a receiver is, and what it is capable of? or are you just ignorant?

Yes i do know what one is thanks, but MM is saying that the atari could do that, but it is simple on the Xbox, it is all in there from the word go!

"or are you just ignorant"

No i am not, but it gets on my nervous when people can\'t say when something is good, if the ps2 did do that from the word go, MM would be saying how great it was!:p

I\'ve never played it, so I can\'t say..However, here is a simple solution.. Don\'t like it? Then turn the sound off and listen to a cd...Gee, what a novel idea...

proud-to-be

ethan certainly knows what a receiver is.  he is a senior member here, and VERY knowledgable when it comes to stuff

he and i are just having a difference of opinion on things today
:)

i almost NEVER listen to game soundtracks, as almost ALL non-squaresoft soundtracks sux0r!
if i have an option to turn up the sound FX and turn OFF the music, i certainly do so

XBOX allowing MP3\'s to be played instead of the developer\'s tracks is nice and all, but a gimmick is all it is to me

how does anyone suppose it will be synched to the start of levels?  it would specifically have to be coded in the options of the game.  that takes time and money, and that time money goes to sound productions for the game creation.  unless ot course, the devleoper doesnt hire a team to orchestrate the soundtrack and leaves it solely up to the gamer.  Ugh, my head hurts

I don\'t have this game, but now that I know Motorhead is on the soundtrack, I might have to get it.     Actually I heard it was a good game too.  I wouldn\'t buy a game just for the soundtrack, but DAAAMMMNNNN Motorhead kicks ass.  Lemmie is probably the coolest (and ugliest) guy in metal.  :)

Did you guys know that in Vigilante8 for PS1 you could start the game, swap out the CD for any music CD, press start and choose the track you want to listen to while you play?

It was cool.  Thumbs up to developers as that\'s the first for PS1 (that I know of).
