You tell us not to list more than 5 and you list 6?

:nut: :nut: :nut:

Die Hard With A Vengeance
Aliens
12 Angry Men (Henry Fonda Version)
True Lies
Die Hard 2

July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Oh my.  Blue Streak?  Really?  Holy cow.  TMNT?  Wow..  Woah, RH2?  Hmmm..

You need to think a little bit more.  These can\'t possibly be your 5 favorite.

Oh, and I want to add Chinatown and Full Metal Jacket.

 Ok... subtract Blue Streak and put in place - Die Hard.... I really love those 3 movies... hehe....

BTW - The reason for such a sucky list? Because I had to type fast.... My dad was picking up the phone line and trying to kick me.... So the list sucked...:D

I applaud MM\'s selections except for PI, which I didn\'t enjoy as much as everyone else did.  I think Requiem for a Dream was a much better film than PI.  Other people who listed The Deerhunter, Chinatown, One Flew Over The Cuckoo\'s Nest, Moulin Rouge and Twelve Angry Men get a big thumbs up as well.

What can I say?  I enjoy mass market Hollywood films too, and I see just about anything and everything.  A TOP FIVE list however must be reserved for true greatness, not forgettable action films.  Instead of trying to rate my top 20 or top 50, I just pulled five at random.  All except for Paris Texas, which will always be my Number One.

  • Paris, Texas (1984)
  • The Apartment (1960)
  • Bottle Rocket (1996)
  • The Conversation (1974)
  • Paths of Glory  (1957)

If you have not seen any of these films, then you are missing out people!
