Thanks pstwo!!!:)  The graphics are better than ps2 but it doesn\'t blow them away it mostly has clearer textures and bump-mapping effects.  Halo is awesome see my above post for impressions it\'s just plain awesome!!!  The xbox cooling fan is very quite I couldn\'t even noticed it.  Thanks cool I enjoy answer you guys questions.   Oh yeah one more cool thing about the xbox you don\'t need a memory card you can save the games on the hardrive which has 50,000blocks.  I only used up 15blocks with all three games.  Overall, PS2 and xbox are both great systems.  I"m loving mgs2 on ps2 as well.  This is perhaps the best.......game........ever........:fro:

I got my Xbox today.The graphics are awesome,but they are only marginally better than the PS2.Halo is unbelievable.I got Half-life the other day,and between the both of them ,I am in heaven.I think they blew it with the controller(not even close to a dual shock).Why did everybody rip on the PS2 for the jaggies?Halo is very jagged and has some shimmering textures.I don\'t mind ,but people trashed Sony for this.Gotham is ok,but is does not look or play as good as GT3.

Well...............their two completely different games PG is more arcadey and gt3 is more sim. PG you can get kudos points depending on how well you raced while gt3 is racing for your licence and upgrading your cars.  A feature I like on PG is the car damage for example your car gets all banged up and your headlights and get busted to.   Overall,  I guess it depends on your taste which one you like more arcade racers or sims.  If theres a racing game on the market that matches gt3 visuals its PG.  Overall both games are good.

Damn, one of my friends need to hurry up and get it so I can go to his house, stay the night, raid his kitchen, play his X-box, hit on his sister, raid the kitchen again, and take his X-box@!!!!

I\'m really considering picking one up too, but I have a few hesitations:

How does Halo compare to PC shooters (HL, UT, Q3).  Better?  Worse?  I\'ve played a lot of shooters and I\'m uncertain if it\'ll be that captivating for me.

I played some DOA3 today (my friend\'s) and I have to agree that it is amazing!  We were both standouts at DOA2 and I have to say this is quite a step beyond.  Just how important (for once) being in a 3d environment is is such a pleasant surprise.  I am worried everytime a wall or tree (or anything solid) is behind me for fear of getting absolutely pummelled (anyone who has played DOA3 can attest to this).  Much of my strategy involves these obsticals.  This and the fact that moving around in 3d is wonderfully easy make this game a good step forward for 3d fighters.  I still think I\'d rather kick ass in VF, but this is definately a close second.

I\'m not a big racing fan, so that doesn\'t draw me in either.  I\'m straddling the line here.  Is Halo worth the praise?  For someone that has played every shooter since Wolf, is there anything here to offer me?

As for halo its better than all the pc shooter I\'ve played(doom, quake 3, unreal tour, half life, etc.).  I\'m not just saying this to hype the game I mean in the gameplay and graphics department halo is revoulition.  Yes halo has a lot of new stuff it brings to the table.  I think its perhaps the best FPS ever from what I\'ve played.    If you get an xbox you MUST pick this game up and not to mention its verrrryyyyyy fun.  DOA3 does of some gameplay enchanements from doa2.  Like watchdog said you can use the enrvirment to your advantage.  DOA3 also adds in wall combos like tekken 4.  This is the best looking 3d fighter I ever laid my eyes on.  Perhaps the best looking game I\'ve seen.  Overall, if you pick up halo and doa3 you will not be disppointed with your xbox.  Unless you hate fighting games and FPS, but it you like both genres you must have these games.:thepimp: :thepimp: :thepimp:

I still think Medal of Honor is the best fps,but Halo is so amazing,everybody should play it.If you get it watch for the flood.You will see what I mean,it is incredible.
