Australians have gotten screwed over by Microsoft!

The launch date and price of XBOX in Australia has been announced... And I am not happy...

First the price, $649 AUS!!! That converts to like $329 US!

Then theres the release date, 14th MARCH 2002!!!

Are they kidding??? This is like four months AFTER everyone else!!!

And last but not least, the shippment alotments, 100 000 units from MARCH to end of JUNE.

With a population of 21 Million and a gaming population of over 2.5 Million (Sony hit the 900 000 PS2 mark last week in AUS) I don\'t know how Microsoft can get away with it!

if it makes you feel any better, its only $20 more than what the US pays..b4 tax anyway. Its also alot less than what i paid for 2 xboxs. $580 a piece. MS is fukking ppl for sure, if you didnt pre-order one, you get shafted buying a 3game,xtra controller,warranty package for $580(tax included)

this is every worring for PAL gamers

is this yet another wait we have to endure purely for our geographical location ?

It is a discrace that in this day in age gamers are divided purly because of thir number of the region code

Yeah, it sucks, I mean we live 12 hrs away from LA, and its a freaking 4 month wait after them.

And what ever happened to the universal launch date...

Nice one Lavan as if PRO EVOLUTION  FOOTBALL sorry SoCCER is any kind of subsitute for MGS2 , DVC and Fianl Fantasy 10 (you lucky People inthe USof A get it on the 26th of Decamber)

:) It is for me, I would gladly trade MGS2 (still in it\'s shrink wrap for me as I\'m still playing GTA3, THPS3 and J-League Winning Eleven 5) and DMC for Pro Evo Soccer. You know me - I\'m football nut, and at least you only have to WAIT - I know it\'s a bummer but at least you know that soon you\'ll be able to play the games you want. PES may NEVER make it here - I will have to import the bastard and somehow find a way to get around the whole NTSC/PAL thingymabob.

I too go now to cry into my pillow :crying:

Dood.. Didn\'t you know.. Microsoft think that there "World Wide Release" means only USA... You see.. billgates thinks USA is the world.   So i guess that makes it ok. :)
