First Ryu and now 00seven...

Well OK I don\'t mind them being mods im sure they will do a good job.

I myself am willing to mod if you like. I have expirence at other boards and a open mind.

My post count may not be high but i\'ve been registered on the boards for a year and check them daily.

Also I check these boards at a different time to most of you as im from the UK. So ill be able to handle threads whilst you guys are asleep.

Need anymore mods then please let me know.

I think that there are too many mods

dont ask to be a mod, if you ask they automatically wont make you one

The best way to be a mod is to PM one of the admins (or maybe even mods, I don\'t know).  Posting a topic like this won\'t make you a mod.

but think of it this way
With 3 consoles on the market worldwide very soon and the PS2 sales growing day by day(as well as X box and GC owners join the forum and there is nothing to stop them),has lead to more and more gamers going next gen no matter what console they pick.

we seam to have a influx of new members (yes mainly from the UK and other regions)

so i guess its all part of our beloved forum growing ever stronger.

More members means and more posts = more work for us lot to make sure nothing bad happens.

timezones
this forum gose through a cycle of busy to quite and then back to busy as people loggon dependent on their timezone.
a typical day gose like (in GMT) just including US and European posts

6:00am quiteing down from last night posting from US members
6:30am to 11:00am build up of european posts
12:pm to 2:00Pm UK lunch time and its usually quiet at this time
2:00pm to 5:00pm Build up of European posts
6:00pm to 12:00am lost of activity with large scale US and Europan posts
(sorry don\'t know what happens here from 1am to 5:59 am as i am usually asleep )

now thats a simplified version of a classic day and it dose not include posts from Austrilia and Asia

as well as that newer sub forums opening up of the likes of metal gear solid 2 and GTA3 forums makes for a larger site.

and by the looks of things we will prob\' expand into new areas (not sure but its up to the big people for that one, but a guess a Fianl Fantasy 10 site amoung others)

the mods themselfs
so it pays to have as many of us to help out (but not too many) and alow a continuous(sp) coverage, and to make this place run like clock work.

remember even though we like comming here in our spare time... our spare time is finite and we do have a social life and work to contend with , and i know that some of the other mods like MM and Samwise (and now myself wont be here all of the time, or be here as much as we want to be)

anyway what i am trying to say is that this forum is getting larger and as a result we need more staff and helpers to keep it at the standard we expect from it and as a result we could have more to add to the staff roster (but please don\'t quote me on that).

First off Altered Beast, leave OOSE alone.  He will make a great mod so why don\'t you just go suck it!!

2ndly to the dude who wants to be a mod...  Here is what I would do.

PM all of the mods every day.  They see your enthusiasm and dedication and surely you will be a mod in no time.

Too many mods is wrong , too many new ones in so little time is right..... i think it takes away from the coolness.... when samwise became a mod it was much more important because we had " who would make a good mod" threads and stuff.... oh well congrats ooseven

as long as whomever they choose to become a mod ISN\'T BIASED to anything in the videogame world and is online a fair bit then i\'m happy.

Having a biased mod not only makes the person look bad. But it also makes Bjorn and the others look bad.

Mods seem to fall into a place here, after a legnthy time here, and a well respected attitude.  Sooner or later, if you show good judgement, you\'ll become a mod.

well, it\'s not like I really care, since the off-topic forum is full of spamming, but it seems when anyone disagrees with your views, that is the first thing you do. And I REALLY Hate spam. I don\'t really enjoy having new mods either, as this place is full of them. Ryu was pushing it already, and I really enjoy Ryu.
