OPS2 Demo: WipEout Fusion

OMG, has anyone played the WipEout Fusion Demo? At first I was quite disappointed because it always killed myself in the first 2 laps, but as I played it more and more, I started to realise that this is a special game-mode. As you progress through the laps, you get faster and faster. I reached speeds at just slightly over 2000 km/h and I tell you it is unbelievable. The sense of speed and how fluid everything moves is incredible!!

Flying through that loop at over 1000 k\'s have to be seen to be believed! Especially the transparent-effect they use is really top-notch stuff.

I\'d give the demo a 10!

Has anyone else played it? any thoughts?

I haven\'t played it but If I liked and enjoyed so much the first and WipEout 2097...well...I\'m sure I won\'t be disappointed from this one !  I\'m sure ! :fro:

I haven\'t played it, although I have seen video footage of it and it does look very sweet.

The resolution is a little chunky but it plays smooth as melty choccy

mmh... I don\'t have any complaints in the graphics department. There are no jaggies apparent and at the beginning of the stage there\'s some flickering in the distance, but it is no where as bad as GT3. All in all, this game looks amazing and it moves so fluid, it has to be seen to be believed.

I do hope it will get to the US eventually, because this game is probably one of the best I\'ve played.

For the ones that have the demo, you should sign up at the official site and compete with the others. Wipeout has this feature (I think it\'s only in Zone-mode) where you race and if you\'re good enough, you get some code which you can enter at the site. It will then list you and you can compete with racers all over the world. While this doesn\'t really make up for online-play it sure is better than nothing and really heaps of fun. My friend and I have been playing the demo for the last couple of hours and are already hooked on it. And that\'s from 1 stage, out of 45!

Yes, this game is simply mindblowing. The sense of speed is amazing. Too bad its been delayed.

I\'ve played the demo (Zone mode) I never saw, what u saw (only played it once cause there were 8 demo\'s to get through) I\'m gonna give it another try - i just better make sure i don\'t play GTA3 first, otherwise i won\'t get anything done. I\'ll see u on the leader board!

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. When I first played the demo I was felt it was ****. Now I understand what zone mode is I like it. Its one of these frustrating games which for somereason your complelled to return to.

LOL, it might take a while though.. I am on like the 173rd position (and the board only goes up to 50!). But I am getting better at every try, so it won\'t take long hopefully.

woohoo!! I am ranked as 84th now (international), and still carrying the leadership in Switzerland (only my friend is challenging me at the moment, so that no problem as of yet)!
