What\'s Happened to Tomb Raider Next Gen(or Tomb Raider 6)for the PS2?

There was a load of stuff at the beginning of the year about the new Tomb Raider game for PS2 but I\'ve not heard anything for months since then.
Can anybody tell me if Core and Eidos ahve given up on it, Moved it to another format or are just being dead secretive of it yet?
I saw the trailer on Tomb Raider Chronicles for the PSone but the only other stuff I\'ve seen is a few pics of the new Look Lara Croft and a programme about her on Channel 5, which just showed them designing the next gen Lara Croft.
I\'m a huge Tomb Raider fan (I enjoyed the movie) and although it doesn\'t really affect the way I live my life, I just want to know what has happened to it.

Tomb Raider was ok
Tomb Raider 2 was great
Tomb Raider 3 was also good
Tomb Raider 4 sux ass
Tomb Raider 5  I have not even tried it........ looks boring, got bad reviews and Im sure it is just more of the same.
Tomb Raider 6 Who cares, Im sick of Tomb Raider now....... they make it just to earn money now (at least, that was what they did with 4th and 5th game)

It won\'t be "Tomb Raider" per say.
They are using Lara, but the game itself will be totally revamped.

We were shown the render shots a long time ago, but if I remember correctly, it isn\'t due out until mid to late summer 2002.

My guess is that it is still in heavy development. We will prolly start seeing some game shots in late winter/early spring 2002 (March/May)

I\'m also a huge fan of Tomb Raider.   What happen to the PS2 title?  fastson, thats cool screens.  Can\'t wait for the next chapter.  ;)

They\'ll probably release info in a bunch of new titles after christmas for
2002.  If I remember corectly it was going to be eposodic so they may
be holding of for broadband as long as possible.  I think broadband
is catching on pretty fast. Companies are really starting to push they
dsl services.
