It\'s not the fastest selling console in history. Everyone knows PS2 sold out in an hour on release date and you couldn\'t get them when they were having the 100,000 shipment a week deal. It was a coincidence I got it. Right place at the right time.

Gamecube sold more in a week. Because they shipped more consoles.

i dont care if PS2 beat GC [which it did]

my rant is with the media AND nintendo taking claim for something they didnt do

They didn\'t sell more consoles. They weren\'t the fastest selling. Of coarse Nintendo was going to say \'oh our console is the fastest system\'. Thanks to this post, I am now over 900.

Nintendo sent around 700,000 for launch.  Sony sent around 500,000 for launch.
