I Got The New Offical Ps2 Mag, And It Is A Good One!

I had a problem cause I din´t know what to buy: J&D or DMC. I think i´ll get DMC... what do you think??

Get DMC i love that game to pieces, it really is a cool game.

*How is the framerate ? Smooth ?
*Is the music good?
*Is Daxter annoying? I heard that he talks a lot.
*How would you rate it overall, so far?


Ok the frame rate seemed smooth, i didn\'t see any slow down but you have to remember that the game crashed on me, so i didn\'t get that long to play it that long, i will give it another go today, and let you know.

I don\'t really remmeber the music because my giurlfriend was watching TV, so i didn\'t have the sound up, but i will let you know on that too.

I don\'t really like Daxter, he tlks quiet abit, but this isn\';t from the final game i don\'t think,so they could have addded in more.

Overall it isn\'t a bad game, it is far from the worst game on the ps2, but isn\'t the best.

I will get back to you guys in a bit ok.

Right i am back!!!!

Ok first things Jak and Daxter is on a timer, i am sad to say!
It askes you to reset the demo after the demo has finshed, i think it might be about 5 mins, but i am not sure.
Ok i have played it abit more and it has got better the more i have played it, which is good, i also found a few things out.
My phone went at home and i put the demo on pause, so while i was talking i was going through the menu that came up and i found a centering option, which was really good because my picture was off of center, also two option one to have the game in 4*3 and another to have the game in 16*9 which made the game look better, so that is really good to have in the game.
When i was playing i noticed something else that when you do the spinning attack like in crash it makes the same noise! i didn\'t like this because i want the game to be far away from crash and to be it\'s own game, so that is alittle thing that gets to me.
Also i got a power up in the game, and Daxter told me to hit the bones and when i did the bone cracked in half and made a bridge to get a cross to another bit, i liked this little feature, and things like that take the game away from crash which is good.
Daxter doesn\'t talk that much, but alot of the time when he does it is to help you out, and i am glad he is in the game now.
So over all i am getting to like the game more and more, which has made me happy, so all i can say is, play the demo a couple of times before you judge it, as for me it has got better the more i play.
Also one more thing all the time that i have played the demo the framerate has not slowed down at all.

Ok guys i hope that answers all of your questions.

(I know you fellow UKer\'s like to know which games have centering options. Well the USA version of Metal Gear Solid 2 has the centering option, just to let you know, so hopefully it will be in the Uk version.)

I cant find the magazine anywhere!?!? All I can find is The Official PLAYSTATION magazine with MGS2 on the cover. Is it the December issue of The Official PlaystationTWO? I cant find it. also, is there a site?

Is this magazine out in the states?  I haven\'t been keeping track and I\'ve heard of some being only in Europe, I pray to beans that its here because I\'ve been salivating over dropship since its mention.  

Also, if this mag is out in the states, or soon will be, maybe that means that DropShip is coming out in the states, as it was rumoured to be up in the air.

Ethan gets the mag early.. it\'s due out in the UK on the 5th of December.
This magazine & demo disk is only due for release in Europe.. as for America, i\'m unsure

Stanzo the demo did not have a 60 Hz option, but it will probably be in the final version.

Also sorry to keep talking about MGS2 but this game is very very good, i can\'t stop playing it, and the twistes in the story are cool, and the story is cleaver.
But the thing i like the most is the Music it is sooooo cool, just in case you didn\'t know the guy that did the music wrote the music for Armaggon,The rock, and another film can\'t remember at the mo.
I saw spy game at the weekend, and i think he did the music in that to, i think i saw his name, but the thing that sort of gave it away, is that some of the music is almost the same as MGS2, the main music on the title screen, it was really cool to hear in the cinema and really got me pumped to play the game.
All i can say is when it comes out in the UK, go and buy it the day it comes out!

Ok Ethan, could you tell me whether the Jak & Daxter demo had real-time shadows for the main character? Because if he (Jak) only has a circle shadow, then this is an old build of the game, likely to be an old E3 demo.
