Jak & Daxter to be released on Friday (7/12/01) in UK

Well, this has come as a big surprise.. looks like sony have pushed it forward as the christmas rush
hots up. I\'ll be looking out for it and hopefully have it mid next week.

JAK & DAXTER EARLY AS CHRISTMAS SALES ACCELERATE

Naughty Dog\'s highly-promising, island-based adventure gets a boost as SCEE drags the game forward a week in Europe

15:10 Jak & Daxter will release a week early in Europe, Sony confirmed today, hitting shops in December 7. Game-wise, developer Naughty Dog has come a long way since pumping out Crash Bandicoot titles for PSone over the last five years; general consensus among press currently reviewing the title is that this will be one of the hottest games to release for PlayStation 2 this year.
Centring on Jak and his transformed friend Daxter, the adventure works through a seamless world to restore Daxter to his former self. Bottom line? It looks mint.

The game will add to an already hit-heavy roster for the Christmas season, and will certainly do no harm to PlayStation 2\'s increasing dominance of the all-format charts. Five games in the top ten for the last month are PlayStation 2 exclusive: this figure is likely to increase as we move into December.

Can\'t wait for this game, I\'m even tempted to skip the OPS2M demo on the 5th and just get the full game on the 7th

How many levels are there, or how many gameplay hours?  The game does look incredible.

it was meant to come out 14, dmc and twisted metal black on the 7th..... they changed them round, as in jd on 7th, dmc and tmb on 114th, now they changed it to dmc and jd on 7th not sure about twisted metal black
