No Create-A-Player in Franchise? (Madden 2002)
« on: December 01, 2001, 02:51:30 PM »
I just drafted my created team as an expansion team in my second year of the franchise, but I wanted to make my own quarterback and I cant find anywhere to do it. Is there any way to creat a player in franchise or what? if not oh well.. Im gonna just have to do deal with a half assed team till I build their ratings up. bleh.

NO! Don\'t!

I think you at the menu\'s screen, go to settings, then rosters, create your player, then load him into your franchise.

If not, you\'ll probably have to start a new franchise.

I edited my Garcia and Hearst while they were in Franchise from the Settings menu so that might work.

you can create players in franchise mode only in the off season.
In the off season menue go to rosters and then go to the create a player screen.  (its by the trade player and re sign player etc)

EASY!
what?!? Were you expecting a signature?

Actually, Its only in the off-season AFTER the first/second season. Depending on if you draft your own expansion team.

Or you can hurry it up and simulate the season to quickly get in the offseason if you don\'t care what happens one season.

no if you own the team, no players or coaches will be resigned, traded, released etc. unless you make the changes your self.

its perfectly safe to simulate the season because it just simulates scores of games.  Nothing else

Actually, your wrong.

Players do resign, and get injured, just cuz\' your the coach doesn\' t mean you can stop them.

only on OTHER teams will there be signing of players (free agents)and there will be no \'resigning\' of players untill the offseason where you are given the choice of re-signing your players.

in fact other teams do not do anythin accept sign free agents (if one of their players gets injured) and put their caches on the hot seat, which is after the regular season anyways, and make player hold outs.  There is no trading what so ever in the game unless YOU do it.

So in effect the computer teams do hardly anything unless you trade with them etc.

If you simulate a season absolutly nothing happens besides the scores of games are simulated as well injuries.

Every thing else is in the offseason where you control anyways and is done at differnt stages of the offseason schedual.

As you can probably tell, I am a madden fanatic
