"Credit Suisse First Boston has reported on the week of November 18-24, which details the launch of the Nintendo GameCube and dives into the second week of the Microsoft Xbox. CSFB analysts stated that the GameCube console sold an estimated 469,000 units, which is nowhere near the statement made by Nintendo last week of over 700,000. The PS2 therefore still holds the record at 516,000 units in their first week of sales. Luigi’s Mansion topped game sales for all platforms with 257,000 units being sold. Also included in the report was that PS2 sales have increased 83% with software sales exceeding 810,000 units in that week period.During the week of November 18-24, CSFB estimated Xbox sales at 186,000 units, which totals 556,000 units for the nine days the console has been out. The Xbox has sold a total of 1.32 million games since launch with Halo sitting on top for the week period listed at 97,000 units.THQ’s WWF SmackDown: Just Bring It has sold a respectable 194,000 units with Harry Potter remaining number one in sales for the PSX, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.Game Boy sales are up an impressive 331% with the Game Boy Advance increasing 157% in sales."
