As THX said, Component is the best, followed by S-Video and then Composite. If your TV does not have an S-Video input, than there is nothing you can do about it, your best image will come from Composite connections (yellow plug for video signal, red and white plugs for your 2 channel audio). Generally speaking, the difference from Composite to S-Video is usually quite noticable. The difference from S-Video to Component will be most noticable proportional to the quality and size of your TV. In other words, you will see a greater improvement in color and definition proportional to the size and quality of your TV monitor. On a small to medium size monitor (up to 30" or so) the difference may be only slight. But on larger rear projection TV\'s, the difference can be startling. On my widescreen rear projection TV, there is a considerable improvement in video quality by going from S-Video to Component, especially in color saturation and improved definition. Regarding cables, the same logic applies. That is, the larger your screen and the better the quality of your TV, the more it pays to spend extra for the expensive cables (Monster brand for example). Hope this helps.
