AMD don\'t even allow a warrenty if it frys.
I forgot you live in Australia, don\'t you?  If you don\'t use AMD approved heatsinks and motherboards or overclock your chip, they will not replace your CPU; that\'s the terms of their warranty.  Also if you buy retail cpu\'s, AMD\'s warranty is for 3 years.

MGR, your problem is not Dell, it\'s Microsoft.  The only thing ME is good for is maybe a flashy Christmas tree ornament.
