I finally saw Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within....

Little behind I guess..... Oh well..

I remember back when it was in theaters that everyone said it sucked... and it wasn\'t that good....

I actually thought it was a great movie... Great action, awesome story, and of course the CG ruled...

I ordered it on pay-per-view on DirectTV.... I forgot all about this movie until I ran across a commercial on a different channel...

Well... That\'s all I have to say.. Maybe I should ask a question for everyone, so that this thread is at least something to look at...
Do you think they should make a sequel, and make it look even better and greater story? Hmmm... and, should they make totally new storylines like the actual game, with new characters each time? That would be cool.

It was a good movie. Not the best but it wasnt bad.
I also heard a lot of things that were said about this movie that wasnt all that great but IMO it wasnt all that bad.

Good storyline and sweet graphics of course.
Sequel.. I say go for it.

I did think it was a good movie. Although it had nothing to do with the games. Thier were several hints and tid-bits that you could relate to the game.

However, this would have been more apropriate in the Off Topic forum.

I will give it a chance next weekend probably.

sequel wont happen. Squaresoft only got in 30mill from that movie, they expected 90mill.

This movie is especially great if you have a home entertainment system.  I have a 72" monitor with complete dolby surround and even a lil device underneath the floorboards that makes the floor shake.  So if you know a friend that has a big system, go take this movie over to his/her house. I would pick this movie in terms of action and special effects even over Saving Private Ryan.

If you folks are only seeing this film on VHS cassette or through an NTSC cable broadcast, then you haven\'t really seen it.  The detail and definition is phenomenal.  I sincerely recommend that you see it in a movie theater with good projection and sound if at all possible.  If not, then watch it on DVD using the best display you can find or borrow.  The DVD release is not the superb transfer everyone was hoping for, but considering the source, it blows away many cheap hollywood releases.  Don\'t cheat yourself!  See this movie the right way!

My brother has it on DVD and we watch it on a sony trinitron TV.  The movie has great graphics.. But they still need to work on the people\'s movements, at times they still look like stiff rag dolls.


Apart from that the movie was good.

heh funny how they can get a game person to move so fluently but not something with all that power to make it move fluently

well imo the story was kinda lame - it wasnt very deep at all - which is something i love the games for

and i just wish they had made it about a game - otherwise it doesnt deserve the name Final Fantasy

heh... True... I really think that they should\'a made it from a game.... So much more cooler.................... Now I think they need a MGS movie!:D
