Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex Review
« on: December 10, 2001, 12:34:02 AM »
Well to keep it short and simple...

This game is everything every single other crash bandicoot game is except for better visuals, and somewhat of a different storyline.

The gameplay is the same as the originals. The levels are short and fairly easy, that being five levels to about six different worlds.

Worth buying? No, not IMO.. it is definately a rent if you like the Crash Bandicoot series. I wanted to try it out since I havent played any Crash games since number two... and that was a long ass time ago.

The one thing that REALLY and I mean REALLY started to get to me was the loading. OMG its total torture.. not only do you have to sit there for literally a minute or so for it to load, you have to sit and watch these flying colors with shooting stars hauling mad ass strait up the screen. :sconf: At first yea, I was like right on, something new... but load after load, it really starts giving you serious headache. It got to the point for me where I didnt even want to play any more because the loading screen got so hideous. Maybe its just me but I cant take a loading screen like that for to long.

Besides that setback, the game is a go. Dont spend 50 bucks on it unless your getting it for your son or neice or something. They\'ll probably love it. As for us... eh. Rent it.

I may make this game sound horrible, truthfully its not that bad... its just the loading screens! I get a headache just thinking about it.

Anyone else played this game? if so, feel free to add any comments.
