And it is normal to fear that kind of thing. It\'s the environment you are rasied in. Usually overweight people raise a whole family of overweight people. A abusive family usually raises a whole family of abusers. It is set in stone that\'s the way it is but certainly how you are raised has an effect on how you turn out.
Edit: I hate my keyboard. It isn\'t set in stone, not it is.
Yeah, my keyboard is on the way out too - same with my mouse which has a hard time moving left.

About the being made fun of - so what, homophobic people win then? Just because they can\'t accept that a child can have same sex parents, then same sex couples can\'t have children? Same thing was said decades ago about mixed race marriages - \'Won\'t the child feel bad because his mom is black?\', so what, then mixed race couples shouldn\'t have been able to adopt children back then? The child will be made fun of by some, but if same-sex adoptions become more common (and less of a silly media issue), if people become less ignorant, then societal attitudes towards homosexuals and same-sex couples will change - as it has, and is indeed, still changing with regards to race and mixed race marriages.
How you are raised indeed has an effect on how you turn out, that\'s a good point, but you can\'t say that a child raised in a same sex family will become homosexual just because of their family environment - they will see heterosexuality in school, on TV, in society at large. If anything, like Sublimesjg said, being raised in a same sex family will make a person more tolerant of homosexuals, and they\'ll be able to realize that a person\'s sexual orientation isn\'t a person\'s sole identity.
I\'m
not saying that every gay or lesbian couple should go out and adopt, but if they are kind, supportive and loving parents (which would be determined by social services in any adoption situation) then then they should be
allowed to adopt regardless of their sexual orientation because like I said, there are thousands of children who are abused by their heterosexual parents and yet the media issue has become what sex the parent prefers rather than whether or not they are a good father or mother - and that\'s the bottom line.
