I would just like to know how people that own this great game play it(Settings wise)

I\'m currently playing on All Madden mode my record is 3-10 with the Bucs.  I have found that it is almost impossible to run the ball on this mode, but I\'m going to keep at it. Because when I play on All-Pro mode I can go undefeated. I play on 8 min quarters, I never hit X to take me to play calling mode, I manage the clock. Anyone got any pointers, I\'d love to hear them.

All I can say, this game just keeps getting better and better. Just when you think this game would get boring... you meet up a really good match with your team and sit through the game with your heart pounding waiting for that winning touchdown/feild goal. This game will probably never end up collecting dust like some of the other games I have.

As for the way I play, I play franchise and vary out the settings here and there. This game is the ****! I ended my first season with a record of like 9-5-0 or something, Im coming back the second season so far... 7-1-0.

Cool, but what I\'m intrested in most is the skill level that users use. As I said before I play on All-Madden and even though my record sucks It could easily have been better, out of the 10 loses I got, 8 of them were by 3 points or less. All-Madden, IMO is the way this game is meant to be played, I said you can\'t run the ball, but you can if you mix the plays up. But since I\'m usually coming from behind, I can\'t run. I play franchise too BTW.

I play All Pro. I mean I would play All Madden, but they cheat WAY too much. I mean understand a higher interception rate, running being a little harder, but throwing a perfect slant route to my receiver for him to drop it into the defender\'s hands 3 times in one game is BS. Fumbling the ball on every single rush and totally being shut down on offense by the defense of someone like the Vikings is crap. I wanna play on a harder difficulty because I totally blow away teams on All Pro. In my 5 seasons I haven\'t lost a single game, and I\'ve never quit a game or used Madden Cards.

Yes I agree with you somewhat, let me explain.. On All-Madden the computer doesn\'t cheat, it\'s very realistic. As for you receiver dropping the ball, if you don\'t drop back 10-15 yards your reciever will hardly ever drop the ball. The key to being succesfull playing on All-Madden, is just playing it like a real game. You have to stay in the pocket and read your receivers, what helps is to have 2 primary guys, check them quickly, if they are both covered, dump it off. To the TE or RB. ALso you have to change snap counts, the defense will shut you down if you don\'t change it, another good thing is wait for your center to point out blocking assignments. If you do this you will find you\'ll get much better protection, and holes will be open longer while running. All-Madden is as realistic as your gonna get, it takes practice, but once you get the hang of fundamental football you will be able to have success. One reason I can\'t run the ball is because i don\'t have quality backs with the bucs. Don\'t get me wrong, Alstot can rumble for 3-4 yards everytime, and Dunn will break one for me at least once a game. But I kill them passing thats why my games are all so close, cause you can pass all day on a team with a weak secondary. Try my tips out on All-Madden, you\'ll see what I\'m talking about and the challenge just makes you want to keep playing.

I play on Pro. Not cuz\' I suck (believe me, I can easily play on All Pro and even put up a few points on All Madden).

I like Pro cuz\' it\'s so exciting. Running the ball is much easier, yet it\'s still hard to break away for a gain bigger than 25 yards. Kick returning is easier. Everything is just easier, and the computer is still able to make the game interesting sometimes.

I\'m sorry but on All Madden the longest run I got was only 12 yards.

Any of you guys doing Madden Cards? I have about 3/4 of them. I need more cheerleaders cards.

I also play on Pro. I found it to be the best of all of em. Though I still go back to All-Pro sometimes cause it fun there to with more challenge. All-Madden is bull****!. period.

I never use Madden Cards, but I love collecting them... I have about half of them. I could have more but I dont go into the two minute drill much, and thats where you get mucho tokens. And for the fact that for every pack you get after like the first three or four, you only get about five new cards for every pack. I cant wait to see all the cards in my book. I consider the cards cheating tho and I refuse to use them.

 And I thought you guys liked challenges

Hey you guys can whine and complain about All-Madden all you want, but that is the level this game was meant to be played on. And if you can play on Pro and All-Pro and not go undefeated then your probably right All-Madden just isn\'t for you.

Just because a games default setting is set at a paticular setting, doesn\'t mean thats the way to play it. Default settings are usaully the setting that people use to get used to the game. I can\'t remember any game that I\'ve played that has challenged me using it\'s default setting. I own NCAA Football 2002 it\'s default setting is All-American i think. If I play on that level I can rush for 300 yards and pass for 500 yards. If I play Heisman (which I do) the stats are realistic. All I\'m saying is for me, All-Madden is where it\'s at! I started this thread to find out what setting people normally played, I didn\'t relize it would end up a debate, although it\'s quite humorus finding out that I would run circles around you guys if it were on-line compatible:laughing:

On Devil May Cry the default setting is Very Easy(it doesn\'t auctually start very easy but switches after the first mission) So there is my point exactly.... Do you think DMC was meant to be played on Very Easy Mode??? I don\'t think so.. Back to Madden, I think you guys start a game in All-Madden and are so used to being able to rush a 150 yards every game and trhow for 350-400 and you just don\'t like the fact you can\'t demolish the computer everytime you play them. That\'s just my opinon though, I have no facts to back that up.......

run circles around me? O man I can\'t wait till Madden 2003 (probably be online)! Then we\'ll see who runs circles. You know what you\'ll probably be running in circles from my defenders.
