I was just going to say he is VERY Smart and not TOTALLY inteligent.

Smart in the way he obtains everything
and Not inteligent, for not developing his own from scratch.

Bill Gates is an incredible business man. He knows what is going to be the next big thing and makes sure he is in on it before it gets really popular. If their is something wrong with that then their is something wrong with almost every Founder of every company. Gates just has a better batting percentage than the other losers. He may not be one of the most popular people but he IS one of the greatest of our time.

I\'m with ddaryl. He\'s a nobody to me.
He has the oppotunity to be the greatest man alive. He could give away 95% of his money to charity and still be filthy rich. If he did something like that then he would be the happiest man alive. Think of all the lives he could save. Who gives a **** about getting a new operating system when you could be saving millions of lives. That would make a person truley happy.
He\'s just greedy.
Go listen to "Soon Forget" by Pearl Jam. Eddie wrote that song about Bill Gates. Money doesnt bring happiness

He is one of the greatest business men of our time, you cannot deny that. If you can, then I suggest you take the computer you are using to post on this forum with and throw it out the window and move to a place where you live in a cave, due to the fact that Gates ushered in the era of home computer use to the tenth degree and the software industry (he was one of the first to speak out about having to pay for software, instead of "borrowing" aka stealing it). If it wasn\'t for Gates the computer industry and in large the enviroment we live in would not be the way it is today. Bill Gates is a brilliant business man who jumps on things that are going to be popular and uses them for his own company. What is wrong with that? All companies do it, Gates just does it more and better than the rest.

As for the comments about how he could save lives and so on, I truly doubt most people in his position would give 95% of their wealth to charity. Not to mention he has donated money to charitys countless times and if I am not mistaken even set up a charity fund (I may be wrong on that one). Don\'t expect someone to give 95% of their wealth they worked for to countless strangers.

By the way - before I get accused of being a MsWhore, I don\'t even use Windows 90 percent of the time, I use an iMac and I detest the Xbox at this current time.

I know that he gives a lot of money to charity. But about my comments about him giving up 95% of his wealth, he would still be filty rich. I know that most people in his situation wouldnt do it, but you would have the opportunity of being the happiest person alive
