How many people think there is a cure for AIDS out there?

Honestly, I think there is, but then again there is no profit in a cure right. Just think, the treatment drugs that are out there now, tests cant even find the virus in the body anymore(for some people with the very good,very exspensive treatments)

Yeah there is a cure. In the deepest depths of the oceans in the stem of some plant that has yet to be discovered. And it\'s appalling to me that anyone would think a cure is kept "secret", to any illness.

I think there is.. Like Dajo said, it\'s somewhere out there. Someone just has to find it.

well it cures you, and since there ain’t\' money in that big pharmaceutical, are keeping it locked up for the rich and famous. You\'ll see... they will sell those magic pills for 1Million a pop,... us mortals could never afford it, so they keep it a secret,... why do you think magic Johnson is still alive?

There is definitly a cure. The US government (or any government) might require that the company to sell the cure. Either that or the government is working for the cure. Who knows (I know I don\'t )

I think there is... and its is existant they wont bring it out to the public yet... They wanna make macho money before they spread it to the world. On the other hand.. if its not existant yet... Im possitive there is a cure somewhere, somehow.

I know it\'s not really a cure as such, but the nowadays people with AIDS can live for a long time - many years actually. Does anyone know how long? I can\'t remember... but I think it was like 20+ years or more.

AIDS and HIV only work to deteriorate the human immune system, so when the common cold comes along, your body has no defense against it

I am going to play the Devil\'s Advocate now.  This is in no way how I feel,. but I have heard several people mention this. Does anyone think AIDS is some form of population control? And Magic Johnson has lived for many years with HIV that has not developed into AIDS. The Government good being trying to make money. But I would almost be willing to bet if we had a cure, it would be made available for everyone.

You mean HIV. AIDS is the last stage of HIV in which your body almost completely lacks an immune system...making the body susceptible to pretty much everything. You could die from allergies...er...something.

Anyway...HIV is very hard to find a cure for, as it is an everchanging disease. It adapts and it changes. It\'s a very "un-cool" disease.

Yup everytime one person is infected, it mutates a little bit each time.
