For starters, get Dynasty Warriors 3. It\'s a good game that you can pick up and play and it has two player mode too!

Another is Ace Combat 4. Not too complex as far as controls are concerned.

Gran Turismo 3. Best game of the year. Learning curve is high although the controls are rather easy to learn. NOTE : this is a driving simulator. Not exactly something easy for youngsters.
