Pro Evolution Soccer

Iv\'e just ordered myself a copy of Pro Evo Soccer so I\'ll have it by xmas and I was just wondering what your thoughts are on it. Im a big football and have a good head for football so i chose this over fifa coz i want a challenge and its more of a simulation than Fifa. So people that have it or have played it please tell me what you think and maybe give it a rating ?/10

I don\'t own it personnaly but i\'ve heard nothing but good about this game. Except for it not having all premiership teams due to licensing or something of that nature.

I got this when it was released, and I guarantee that you will not be dissapointed. The gameplay is top notch and it is just like football should be in a game, very realistic. The only minor let downs are teams available (but more than ISS) and the awful commentary!! You can have up to 8 players too!

I\'ll give it 9.5 out of 10, every football fan should own it.

im gonna give it a 9.5 out of 10, its excellent and just like real football....its hard to explain it till you play it, youll see what i mean, the more you play the better it gets!!!!!


the only letdowns are:

some player dont have there real names, e.g. wales, brazil , argentina!!

not all premiship teams, only liverpool ( yeah!!!!) man utd, west ham, newcastle, leeds, chelsea, london ( arsenal) got other big teams in there e.g real madrid, pienza ( juventus) ac, inter, etc!!!!

cant change the national teams ( eg, bring other people in, ie i wanted dyer for england, tanke out hargreeves, but dyer was injured when they made this game, though yo can get created players in your team)

not all teams are up to date, e.g. west ham dont have don hutchinson ( i think they dont), liverpool dont have dudek ( though he is in the game, or kirkland)


may sound silly but they dont have the whole liverpool team, they forgot Redknapp, Biscan, wright ...think thats it


but this game is still awsesome, so good that ive spelt that wrong!!!!

ok well i didnt know they didnt have all teams in the game, i knew they had only big player names., also does man utd have van the man and veron.  . . . im still happy with my choice the others i was thinking about were NBA street or DMC but i really wanted a good footie game

they definetley got van, think they got veron, i only play with liverpool or england at the mo!!!!



its not all the big names its what country they come from, e.g they havent got lisences for chez, so patrik berger is borger, or smicer is smicor, nedved = nevded

O well im not to ****ed about them , oh **** i just relised veron wont have his proper name. damm EA they got the Fifa liecence for like ever!

actually the fifa liscence doesnt do much, apart from let them put fifa on the title, i read a article from the developers!!! its something else, they said once people ( agents) relised they could make money off it, its become harder, fifa 2002 where saying somthing about the de boer brothers.... i think they gotta get liscenses from the actually countrys as places like englang, france, holland, italy, germany etc have all the real names, just some people want a lot of money, or just dont really understand some stuff so they dont get the lisecnce or something like that

If you want a footy game its not like you have much good choice on the PS2 so out of PES and Fifa 2002 i\'d got for PES anyday and not cause the other is bad as such but because PES is meant to be really good.

Infact I was thinking of getting this. I don\'t know why I didn\'t add it to the christmas list thread ages ago.

ive been looking around for a review of the game with alot of info and i cant find 1 ive been to abour 10 sites and non of them have it including gamespot and ign . . . if anyone knows a site were theres a good review of the game please post it.

I really don\'t know why people think this game is so good, the players models are horrible, and it is not realsitic if you think it is like real football then i don\'t know what football matches you have played.
At times it feels like you are not controling the player at all, and the teams don\'t get me started on that, Arsenal is listed as London, Man u is Manchester, it is stupid.
And the free kicks:mad: are just crap!.
I am sorry but that is the way i felt about that game, i was really looking forward to it, but i was let down big time, and returned that game to EB after a couple of days of getting it, i really did try to get into it, i played for long periods, and at times i thought yeah this is really good, but then it do something stupid agian and let me down, it was like 1 step forward 2 steps back.
But hey that is just my thoughts on the game, and you might be totally different, it might have been that i let my expectations get to much, so don\'t expected to much, and hopefully you will really like it, then you will probably come back and have ago at me asking what i was going on about:D
But you asked for my feelings on the game and that is what i gave you OK.
