I was getting a swap out (after mondays swap out today) ooh and it didn\'t arrive. The guy didn\'t even turn up. This isn\'t the first time thats happened EITHER!!!!

Then I check my GTA 3 disc, nice circular mark on the bottom (you know the one where the PS2 scatches the disc) I think this is the one I got on monday.

FINALLY I WONT GET ANOTHER TILL WAIT FOR IT. 27th of DECEMBER.

AFTER CHRISTMAS!!!!! So come Christmas day I can\'t even play Tony Hawks 3 or Silent Hill 2 in fear of ending up with scratched CDs.

SONY YOU LOAD OF ****ING ARSES!

First my PS2 starts flashing. So i get reconditioned model and find out that my other one may have been a reconditioned model if I had swapped it months ago. Anyhoo it comes on monday and it works even worse, and circular scratches my GTA3 disc. Now I wait in all day for a PS2 and it doesn\'t turn up. Now its FECKING 27th of December.

Sorry to vent my anger but I know you guys will understand. :mad: :(

Yes i do know how you feel... I had to take my broken PS2 in for repairs like 5 months ago they didn;t know what was wrong with it so they gave me a brand new one. Now I have that disk error thingy popping up. So I guess I gotta buy some of that lens cleaner stuff and hopefully that works.

the ps2, scratching the crap out of games, thats what happend to mine, i got a new one from them, worked for about 5 mins, the newer one works fine though!!!


my ps1 broke, i had to go through about 7 ps1, till they gave me one that worked properly

You can tell that when I posted about noticing the flash on my original ps2 that it was me being fussy. I had noticed something which most wouldn\'t have noticed and if they had they wouldn\'t have gone on the net and posted about it. Anotherwords it was in a sellable state.

This one however is worse. I wouldn\'t feel right selling it.

I will on december 27th though hopefully sell my PS2 and buy a brand new one from a shop. Should be the version 5 ps2. This will in the long run cost me more and I shouldn\'t have to do this. However I should **** sony but because I got some new games I will plod along trying to sort something. The only way I won\'t be doing this is if my one that comes on 27th of december works. Which it should do but who knows, knowing Sony it will make loads of noise, or DVDs won\'t play or something stupid like that. :rolleyes:

Im furious by the way that i\'ve been stood up by them twice, got told 9 months ago that a swap out I was going to do would give me a new PS2 when in reality it wasn\'t and also how Sony can con me and others with shoddy merchandise.

Also im pretty sure that the PS2 I got on Monday is the cause behind this circular mark! Well basically it is. I\'ve only tried GTA 3 in this PS2 whilst i\'ve completed all my games on my old one. None of my old games have this mark accept GTA 3. That spells it out loud and clear. :rpissed:

Wow, everyone I seem to know has PS2 problems?

Goes to show you, even though I got my PS2 in some run-down, private owned shop, it works the best outta them all...

The model number is 30003.

If you mean the flicker problem theres only a few of us who have it. Its just I posted a few times throughout the duration of me sorting it. Ill probably post some more before its over.

It\'s strange, I have never heard of anyone arouind my area having problems with the PS2 or PSX and I work at a store that sells them.
They only problem I have ever heard of was with my mates PS2. His cousin dropped it and now it doesnt work properly

That is strange. :) I only highlight that fact because im angry at Sony and theres loads of posts about dodgee PS2s on these boards.

Yeah tell my mum this. She gets anonyed because I want to go further into my overdraft to buy a new PS2.

She also thinks its my fault for noticing all this stuff. :eek:

I mean if my PS2 is messing up it ain\'t my fault. I look after it very well.

You know that\'s so weird that the launch systems **** up, and I heard all the stories of the first PS1 units screwing up too.  I bought my PS1 on launch day and it works perfectly today!  I hope I have the same luck with my PS2.  I bought it about 10 months after launch.

10 months after launch... wise words.

I won\'t be buying a machine on launch no more. Its not like the PS2 had many good games back then anyway. It has really only just picked up in the UK.

If I do get an X-Box / Gamecube ill wait and see what happens.

Also PS2 is half the price now from what I paid.
