The PS2 has name brand recognition and more games to choose from.

Nintendo has more name-brand recognition and of course Sony would have more games. It\'s been over a year.

let\'s say you\'re a father of a 13 year old. he wants an xbox. you mosey on over to your local Toys R Us to buy one and \'oh golly gee\', they\'re sold out. on the shelves are about 10,000 ps2\'s ready to go. do you go home empty handed or do you buy him a ps2? well, you ask the 16 year old sales kid who tells you that he has a ps2 and loves it. \'it has way more games\'. so you say, what the hell. microsoft can\'t supply the demand so you plop down your 3 bills and take the ps2 home to your kid.
if it wasn\'t for the god awful control pad of the xbox, i\'d have one sitting next to my ps2.

KillaX, you are wrong about one thing and that is the fact that Xbox is selling very well for a new console from a company that is trying to break into a new market and with very few games at this point. 934,000 units in less than two months and expected to hit the million mark before years end, is nothing to sneeze at. Just give it some more time. Xbox hasn\'t even hit it\'s stride yet.

Guys of course the PS2 is outselling XBox and Gcube, because both XBox and Gamecubes aren\'t on the shelves.  I\'ve been to all the local stores, K-Mart, Walmart, EB, etc.  I see a few XBox systems, no Gamecubes, and a whole mess of PS2s.  That\'s why I decided to get a PS2 this Christmas.  That and for the games.  All of you who posted saying..."It\'s not surprising that PS2 is winning" or "Of course PS2 is winning it\'s the best" sound like typical fanboys.  Like I said of course PS2 is outselling Gcubes and Xbox systems.  PS2 are the only systems on the shevles this Christmas.  Let\'s wait and see next Xmas and see which system outsells the other.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt the reason PS2 is outselling XBOX is becuase you have to pay an extra $30 for the DVD remote on the XBOX.
