This is not like "the news of the year".
the only one this is a big suprise is for all the GC and xbox fans that thought that their SUPERIOR hardware would make the PS2 usless. Nobody will buy a PS2 after GC and x-box arrives.

my girl wants one for all the cutesy games. is it worth the money  (is there any chance of there being a game that I would like besides Rogue Squad..?)

Played it a couple times.  Also played M0k3y Ballz.  It was fun..  Its a good party system.  To play Monkey Ball on and Smash brothers.

I don\'t think you could go wrong with it..

I love all 3 of these systems. However the one I own I believe is the best.

Why did I not expect that the PS2 would outsell the competition...I dunno...........MAkes sense..........reason why the X-box isnt selling that well....You have to pay 30 bucks to sctivate the DVD player (for those people who dont have one)......the GAmeCube.....you cant play Normal CD\'s! MAkes total sense to me!

Shouldn\'t this be in console debating?

Anyway I just wish my PS2 would work. :(

I think we should see the sales figures once all three consoles are availible world wide. At the moment we can only get the PS2 in the UK.

Although I personally think the PS2 will still do really well.

The PS2 has name brand recognition and more games to choose from.

Most Casual gamers already familiar with the Playstation name will go into all these game stores and see the 20x\'s more gams to choose from sitting along with there favorites form the last gen like TM:B. GT3, GTA3, MGS2 and others and choose the "safe bet"
