Can you use original memeory cards on the PS2?

Or do you have to use the cards made for it?

RTFM = Read the f**king manual!

Rules to live by, most of the time.  Anytime I invest more than 50 bucks of my own money in something complicated, I take the five or ten minutes it takes to read its instructions.  You should too.

Memcards:
You probably will only need one PS2 memcard.  With 5 games worth of saves on my first (and only) PS2 card, I still have like 6.5 megs free.  It\'s also (if you need more PS1 mem cards) worth it to invest in the madcatz 16in1 or 8in1 ps1 memory card.  Unlike the first two others I tried, it doesn\'t compress the memory, and I\'ve had litterally 0 problems with the 11 cards on it that I\'ve so far used. ;)
