xbox or playstation 2

Is it me or are all the other systems getting some of ps2\'s greater games? (not all AAA titles but a lot of others, along with some AAA titles such as, mgs2, ssxtricky, etc.). And another thing. Some of the same developers that are making great games for systems like x box are making crap on others. Where\'s the inspiration? Its not grafix that make a game good its the content. Sometimes i think that developers have no imagination and or inspiration : (. Im not being paranoid im just wondering.

Id go for PS2 coz the games at the moment kill xboxs few A+ titles.

If for no other reason than SSX and GTA3, PS2 is a great system.  The controller is much better, too.

The one thing that doesn\'t matter so much to me is the backwards compatibility.  A lot of those games, no matter how great, are years old and getting a cheapy is always disappointing.

Besides, the current PS2 lineup more than holds its own.  About the farthest back I would go would be PS2 launch to pick up Dynasty Warriors.  That was pretty awesome.

Heh, and as far as backwards compatibility goes, they should have put in a VHS option since the early consoles tend to crap out in the DVD department. ;]

play final fantsay 10 and tell me that is not the prettiest game you ever saw  x box will always be a step behind they need to get some x box exclusive  that rock your world with visuals and game play all that power they need to bring  the games to market that we love me personally its rpg

But Halo clearly beats them...gameplay cant compare cause they are completely differen\'t generes but as an FPS Halos gameplay is amazing and the fact that Halos gameplay is as good as it is on a CONSOLE makes it deserve more points.

i really want FFX but i dont own PS2..

I\'m sure others here could list other games too.  The PS2 isn\'t going to just lay down and die now that it has around a 20 million userbase.  Even though it is the hardest to program for out of all the next gen consoles, it is still most of the developer\'s #1 system to develope for because of the huge userbase (For example, Sega).  This E3 will show a lot more games for the PS2, Xbox, and NGC.  I wouldn\'t be surprised if out of all three systems, the PS2 has the most new games announced for it though.

yeah  i am visual impared halo is a awesome game and so is doa 3 but what else they got my man i am not saying x box not going to be the best system  ever i am saying what they have on market now isnt worth me owning it ps 2 was for my money a great buy x box going to control the market but needs some exclusive titles that make you buy it like tekken series  like final fantsay to name few its all about soft ware ask nintendo they had a monster sytem but it didnt produce  enough software  now its dead  ask sega  about ther 698 million dollar debt because of the satur sega cd and cega 32x  no soft ware and your hard ware is a piece of junk vapor ware wont be abale to make money but bill gates  got good buissness sense but belive me he better make sure there arent to many direct ports of games  because whats the point of owning a system that has the same software as the competion if it plays the same and just has a few more pologons here and there

I say get what the hell you want. The xbox is a great system and so is ps2. It depends on what you want. NoT everyone likes the same damn games. Not everyone can afford to buy a lot games. So just get what the hell you want.  Don\'t let anyone tell you to get ps2 or xbox decided for yourself. Because surely your going to get bias decions across to board.
