xbox or playstation 2

for christmas i have the choice between xbox or ps2. wut 1 should i choose??????????????????

want games now - PS2

want games later - get both

PS2 coz there\'s more games, better games, better controller, more prestigious exclusives (Final Fantasy series, Xeno Gear Series, Gran Turismo sequels, Tekken (which I\'m not fond of)).

Also, it plays PSX games. And really, what consoles can truly match the depth of games that PSX has today? None. You\'d have to pull out NES and SNES for that question.

It plays DVDs right out of the box. Sure, the DVD technology in the PS2 by now is about three years old(was one of the best at the time it was conceived) but it\'s still better than VHS.

i know that ps2 has alot of good games but i dont think that the graphics meet my demands.

 I rented both, and xbox has way better graphics but some the games arent very good, but the games that r good r alot of fun.

And ps2 doesent have such good graphics but it has alot of good games.

but over all i would say that the xbox is better cuz saving, game play, and just pure enjoyment.so i think thats wut i will get.

Graphics? Hmmm....it ain\'t THAT much better. Oh well, when he plays the PS2 version of SSX Tricky....he\'ll understand what I mean about "better controller".

This is funny, he says he didn\'t have much fun with some of the games on xbox, but he goes on to say he likes it more, he says that after stating a couple times that he doesn\'t think the PS2 graphics meets his needs, well I would have to say your a graphics whore, picking graphics over gameplay, thats sad, oh and I still think your nuts if Jak and Daxter, Baldurs Gate, MGS2, GT3, and all the other games that I won\'t mention don\'t meet your graphics requirements

its amazing all these x boxs addicts but when you get down to brass taxes ps 2 wins for now dep libirary perfect controller backward  game playing ability and dam have you seen final fantsay 10 wow x box will be a huge sucess this time next year but i love my ps 2 i dare any one to say that final fantsay 10 has graphic problems its off the hook name me one game on x box can compare to its graphics and game play

I did not waste my time. I wanted to know some other peoples opinions on the subject. Im not picking graphics over game play but I know that their will be alot of great games for xbox preety soon so if u combine great games with great graphics u have the best system. and i would say halo could campair its graphics and game play

name 3 awesome titles comming to market  in the next 3 months well i can buffy looks great a mechgame to but lets face it most developers going multi platforms meaning all the systems have the same games i have a ps 2 it has the perfect controler ever made the x box controller is made for a gorilla they need to fix that i have been hearing rumors of over heating proably false and lets not forget that dam 35 dollar remote for dvd i will bye a x box in 1 year from today but not now till they get the cracking games out its about soft ware not the graphics and game play baby look at final fantsay 7 a but ugly game but dam i was hooked like a crack addict lol i was playing 5 hours aday lol it was like reading a good book untill xbox gives me that i cant agree with buying one and final fantsay 10 got me hooked to dam had it 3 days loged 20 hours all ready lol

I think that ps2 and xbox are, or should be in it for the long run, but i would get a ps2 then xbox, (gamecube doesnt have the games "i" like). Ps2 has the games, bacwards compatability, and a dvd player straight out. soon it will have internet play and with the giant userbase i think you will find some eager opponents. The xbox has some suprizingly good games and some not so impressive ones as well. I\'m not sure where xbox is going so im waiting to see what it has in store for its future. One thing about good games on x box is that im not sure they will last that long, and i have played the majority of games for it. I play games like a drug and i think that the ps2 has what i need. I dont know about u.
