ps2 problems
« on: December 27, 2001, 06:29:27 AM »
I bought a ps2 in april and have played a fair amount of games on it including the new grand theft auto 3.  I rented silent hill2 and noticed the screen at times flickering so i can\'t make out anything.  i let it go because i thought it was just a overscratched abused disk.  Now i\'m having the same problem with metal gear 2.  I\'ve tried two copies and same thing, anything close up is garbled, audio is fine, but anything in first person view is just a mess on my screen.  I\'ve tried two s-video cables and one composite, i even got desperate and tried it on another tv.  What the hell is going on?  can anybody help me with these konomi game problems?

I guess you\'re referring to the little contrast pulsing problem
on some PS2 games. I see it playing Onimusha and in SH2 as
well sometimes, yes.. but with my PS2 it\'s not that noticable.
Go and ask or look at RichG\'s threads ; he\'s gone bonkers over
his PS2 contrast pulsing problem !
