Gee thats why the dc version of doa2 looks better than the ps2 version.

Sorry Rasta, that\'s not quite true. If you wish for me to tell you why the PS2 one looks better, I will. Otherwise I won\'t even bother.

I have yet to see VF4 in person, so I can\'t comment on Sega\'s words. But if anything, I will trust SEGA more so than anyone on here, or that idiot from Tecmo anyday.

My friend has the DC version of DOA. I have DOA:Hard Core for PS2. We both know that the PS2 looks better. He has the fancy shmancy Sony VVega TV.

BTW, it\'s pronounced as Veh-ga. The shmuck who made the logo for VVega decided to give the letter V double vision so it looks like a W. And that\'s the useless facts of the day, fellas.

I think that DOA3 could be done on PS2 also, but at what cost? It would be a watered down version at best and who would want to see that? I know I wouldn\'t. The graphics would suffer the most, the levels would be smaller and perhaps even the gameplay wouldn\'t be up to par, compared to the original. I think it would be the Max Payne syndrome all over again.

really, if doa3 came out on ps2 with grafix better than doa2:hc and grafix not as good as doa3 with some tasty extras that deepened the game, i think it would be a pretty good title. But we all know that its too late and that tecmo would be better off starting development on doa4, ( i mean i dont think that i would get a game that came out a year or more after because tecmo started development after they finished the first version). w/e

There\'s no solid evidence that DOA3 could be done on PS2 or not. Because we haven\'t seen DOA3 put on PS2. And even if they put it on PS2, who\'s to say they\'ll spend a significant amount of time on graphics? Meh.

No matter how much tiime they spend on it. The game still would not look as good as the xbox version because there is a hardware difference between the two systems.

d0a3 could be done on ps2 sure. But it would look like crap and not even be worth the attempt to make it. If it\'s can\'t be done at it\'s best don\'t even bother to put it on ps2 and it can\'t be done at it\'s best on ps2. That just the advantage of better hardware.

But vf4 looks like a beast. Tekken 4 looks better than vf4 to me. I think sega is just trying to get in good with sony because doa3 is still the best look fighter to date.

Maybe its hype. Maybe its not. I don\'t really care, because unlike DOA, VF4 excells in gameplay , requiring skill and practice. Yes, some games actually require you to plan your actions and know what you\'re doing, instead of mashing the buttons to a victory. Then again, I forgot DOA players don\'t even use the controller most the time, they just stare at the pretty \'bouncy things\' on the TV.

DOA3 does take skill to play I actually took time out to master the game unlike most people that just bash it cause its on xbox.  Yes doa3 is the most beautiful game ever made........

Soul Calibur  is the best. There\'s nothing beats having beating up people with sticks!!!

btw, I know FFX and GT3 CANNOT be done on the XBOX because it\'ll NEVER be done on the XBOX! Just like DOA3...great argument eh?

as for DOA2, the PS2 version is NOT inferior to the DC version.
The DC version has sharper graphics and less jaggies ? yes. but the PS2 version has significantly superior light sourcing and looks much more realistic.

As for MaxPayne...it\'s a PC port...and it\'ll never fit into the architecture of the PS2 unless redesigned from scratch but a perfect port on the XBOX coz the XBox is a PIII PC with a GForce4 MX GPU, gettit?

Bah, DOA3 is crap.  It\'s pretty like a butterfly, I\'ll give you that, it\'s very nice, but the gameplay is very limited and there\'s no real "mastery" in the gameplay, it\'s all "mash mash mash".  And it\'s very likely that it could in fact be done on the PS2, although the textures probably wouldn\'t be as elaborate as the XBox due to the limited amount of memory Sony chose to use in the PS2.  I think we will eventually see DOA3 on the PS2, just as we saw DOA2 on the PS2.  There\'s money to be made by it, so why would they not do it?  They released it as an XBox "killer app", and that\'s over now, so they may as well port it to the PS2 now.
