Tekken 4--> Doa2?
« on: December 29, 2001, 10:31:29 AM »
I finally got to see Tekken 4 for the first time in arcade version but I didn\'t get the reaction I was expecting... Yes, Tekken 4 does look good but does anyone think besides me that this game looks a bit like a Dead or Alive 2 game?

thats dirty fighting talk

comparing the Mighty Tekken or indeed any other ACTUAL fighting game to DOA

nyother gAMe = Great fighting game

any DOA game = brain dead newbie button bashing pretend fighter.

Doa2 isn\'t that bad, play against people that KNOW how to play it and it\'s good fun. But it is a button mashers dream, But so is Soul Calibur. That doesn\'t make teh game unfun, or no skills needed to play it. that just makes it easier to learn. :)

I say that DOA2 gets boring after you have seeb al the characters and explored all the backgrounds, which is about 1 hour

Sc IS very masher friendly , so is tekken but their still damn fun to  play

I thought that DOA2 was boring after a few..
I like Tekken better because it\'s actually fun to try to do all those combos IMO.

I got DOA2 and Tekken Tag when I got my PS2.. Traded in DOA2 after 2 weeks and still have Tekken Tag now. :D

I have yet to see an arcade version of tekken look better than it does on my home ste. This could be partly because of the arcades using cheap monitors and swapping out the guts of old machines and such, but i never judge how a game looks in the arcade as compared to home.
p.s. my area only has a few arcades so i\'m sure that other places do have high quality monitors but i just wanted to add my 2 cents

DOA2 is a great party game.  What Soulgrind said is especially true, newbies will figure out how to play the game on their level and then experts can find all the counters and special moves.  Usually when their is a party at my house, we end up playing DOA2.  Even the ladies like it.

DOA3 = DOA2 with a lil bit better graphic.. thats all.
It will be very interesting to see what fighting game will be the king this year. SC2, Tekken4 or VF4.

Okay thats cool......but I enjoyed doa3.  Btw, since the graphics aren\'t all that great what ps2 or gamecube game looks better than it?
